Hy pretty ladies of hive, I guess you are doing fine, I will be sharing with you events of today titled ENDSARS memorial day. I will also like to walk you through how ENDSARS came about.
About SARS
The acronym SARS represent special anti-robbery Squad. This is a security body formed under the police meant to curb criminal activities such as theft and kidnapping.
But they decide to use their influence negatively in killing innocent citizens of Nigeria. Anyone who had case in the SARS custody stands a 50 – 50 chance of surviving even if you are innocent about the situation.
I read about an individual who was labeled “ fraudster” by members of SARS operatives and due to the fact he refuse to pay the sum of money when he was stopped by SARS in his vehicle , he was killed by a SARS operatives not because he was guilty of the offense. He was a forex and crypto trader. The worst part of it is that it was only when we involved the court, his corpse was released for burial. They had already buried him.
Since then there is been a nation wide protest to put an end to SARS operation in Nigeria.
During the protest of EndSARS, some who were peacefully protesting in their large crowd slept at the Lekki toll gate, a popular place in Lagos where politician resides.
Those peaceful protesters were killed by the military in their large numbers in the middle of the night because they slept there.
This happened on October 20, 2020. Since then there has been a yearly memorial service for the innocent people who were killed late night by the military.
But later on the military came on denying the fact that they were not responsible. An eye witness said, she saw when the military (soldiers) came and started shooting rapidly at the unarmed crowd, a lot of people were killed, the government of Lagos state came out to say nobody died.
Unfortunately for them, the video was released showing how innocent youth were murdered in cold blood by bullets despite they were still holding their flags in protest to end a blood sucking demon called SARS.
But right now the body of SARS has been dissolved but the memorial continues, the blood of the innocent citizens are crying for a revenge, the only way of compensating them is carrying out a memorial movement for them.
In conclusion
A bad government results into shed of innocent blood, protest is commonly seen as in the one in Nigeria. The only way working things out is for government of the country to carry out their duties effectively for the advantage of the masses.
Using the blood of innocent people for political aims result into such.
