Yesterday I went on a longer trip with my friends to see what spring has brought in the Balaton Uplands. Since there are so many pictures taken along the way, I will present them in several posts. Yesterday was St. George's Day, which is a significant day, according to tradition, it was then that the animals were driven out for the first time. Thus, it can also be considered the beginning of the real spring. The first stop of our trip was Tapolca, a small town north of Lake Balaton, surrounded by volcanic mountains. Thanks to volcanic aftermath, the lake found in the middle of the city has warm water (constantly around 20 degrees) and never freezes. In this town there is a cave with an underground warm water lake and you can paddle around by boat. Now we only spent a short time here walking around the lake, taking photos and drinking coffee.
Here are some photos with beautiful cherry trees, statues and the lake.
