En líneas generales, puedo decir que el 2022 ha sido un gran año. Han sido muchas las experiencias que pude vivir y recopilar para el gran libro de mi vida. Se puede decir que ha sido un año de Sanación, un tiempo en el que nos estamos recuperando de las secuelas de la pandemia. Para muchos que estuvieron graves debido a la enfermedad, ha sido un nuevo renacer; para los que perdieron a un ser querido ha sido un momento para aceptar y sanar. Para mí, en particular, ha sido un año para soltar cosas pasadas y abrir los brazos para recibir cosas nuevas.

He tenido el tiempo para reflexionar y para darme cuenta de todo el equipaje que no debo cargar al iniciar el 2023. Creo que el 2022 me regaló muchas alegrías, pero la mayor de todas, ha sido volver a mi tierra.

Todo aquel que ha vivido lejos de su patria por algún tiempo, sabe la felicidad que se siente al volver a pisar la tierra donde ha nacido.

Preparar mi viaje de regreso fue estresante y un poco complicado; el viaje en sí, fue realmente agotador, pero aterrizar en tierras venezolanas produjo en mí una gran emoción. La alegría y la dicha que sentí al ver a mis familiares recibirnos con brazos abiertos, fue indescriptible. Por lo que regresar a mi país ha sido la dicha más grande del 2022.

Por otro lado, la vida es un constante sube y baja de emociones. De la misma manera que volver a Venezuela ha sido la alegría más grande del 2022, despedirme de mi sobrino menor ha sido la pena más grande que me ha dejado este año.

Mi sobrino Adrián es alguien muy especial en mi vida, con él he compartido muchos momentos de risas y diversión, pero también de aprendizaje. Él junto a mi hermana y mi cuñado aún viven en Perú; ellos son los únicos de mi familia que aún se encuentran fuera del país y todos los extrañamos mucho, en especial en estas fiestas de navidad.

Por eso cuando pienso en la pena más triste de este 2022, no puedo evitar pensar en mi sobrino y en lo mucho que lo extraño.

Esta ha sido mi participación en el concurso semanal de la comunidad Ladies of Hive, en el cual nos invitan a responder a estas dos preguntas.

Overall, I can say that 2022 has been a great year. There have been many experiences that I have been able to live and compile for the great book of my life.

It can be said that it has been a year of Healing, a time when we are recovering from the aftermath of the pandemic. For many who were critically ill, it has been a new rebirth; for those who lost a loved one, it has been a time of acceptance and healing.
For me, in particular, it has been a year of letting go of things past and opening my arms to receive new things.

I have had the time to reflect and to realize all the baggage that I should not carry at the beginning of 2023.

I believe that 2022 has given me many joys, but the greatest of all has been to return to my homeland. Anyone who has lived away from their homeland for some time, knows the happiness one feels when returning to the land of their birth.

Preparing my return trip was stressful and a bit complicated; the trip itself was really exhausting, but landing on Venezuelan soil produced in me a great emotion. The joy and happiness I felt when I saw my relatives welcoming us with open arms was indescribable. So returning to my country has been the greatest joy of 2022.

On the other hand, life is a constant up and down of emotions. In the same way that returning to Venezuela has been the greatest joy of 2022, saying goodbye to my youngest nephew has been the greatest sorrow that has left me this year.

My nephew Adrian is someone very special in my life, with him I have shared many moments of laughter and fun, but also of learning. He and my sister and brother-in-law still live in Peru; they are the only ones in my family who are still out of the country and we all miss them very much, especially during the Christmas holidays.

So when I think of the saddest sorrow of this 2022, I can't help but think of my nephew and how much I miss him.
