Do you ever just sit down, think and realize your phone knows you better than you know yourself? Like I'll be thinking about plantain and then next thing, Instagram is showing me five different recipes for Kelewele. How did they know? was I talking in my sleep or something or my phone heard me sigh at that food page?
Low-key it's a scary but also kind of impressive. My YouTube recommendation are always a whole mood, one minute it's a sermon about purpose, motivational stuff and the next a funny clip or cringe stuff 😂. Honestly that is my basically my personality. One part is deep and the other is just silly.
And now the overall Boss, targeted ads. I literally can just think of eyelash sets and suddenly my entire feed is full of all kinds of lash kits. Part of me is freaked out, but the the other part is like, "Well at least I don't have to search much". Sometimes I wonder if my phone's algorithm is my real best friend, because it knows that I like anime, funny memes, cat videos and other random stuffs. It literally knows when I'm broke 😂 because it would show me low-budget easy to cook meals. But then when I think of it, this friend (my phone) is also the reason why I spent hours watching reels full of what I like and falling asleep instead of writing my blog post. So maybe we have a complicated relationship 😂.
If my phone ever gains consciousness and start talking to Me I wouldn't even be surprised because we've been through a lot together 😂, it's seen my late night searches, my cringe selfies, my abandoned shopping carts and so on...
Thinking of it, it is better my phone never gains consciousness because somethings are better left between me and my screen 😂.
Thanks for reading.
