Superpowers are something we all thought about when we were kids. It doesn't matter if you are a boy or a girl, superpowers are something we all wished we had as a kid. Flight, strength, time control, abilities that bend the world to your will. But despite all of the benefits, we all heard the famous line, "Great Powers Comes with Great Responsibilities." I want to make a poem about superpowers and what I would have if I do have one and I bet you're all going to be surprised.
If I had Powers
Would you love to fly and leave the ground?
No traffic noise, no ceilings bound.
Above the roofs and city glare,
Just open sky and thinning air.
How about reading thoughts behind each face?
To know each lie, each hidden trace.
No guessing games. No need for disguise
to know the deepest thoughts from others’ minds.
Or bend the clock to your will?
Undo the words that hurts you still?
Correct mistakes, relive the best.
Yet never fully choose to rest.
Let's say you can heal a wound with just a touch,
To give back hope to those who clutch.
But feel each pain that passes through,
And carry scars that aren’t from you.
Or become the one unseen and fade from sight
A ghost that walks in noon or night.
You hear the truth when guards are down,
Yet never once be truly found.
Or have all the strength in fragile hands,
You can split the earth, reshape the lands.
Throw a building or a car.
Lift a hundred men and be a star.
If I could choose one power to keep,
Not one that kill or burns too deep,
I’d take the gift to make things slip
To steal the friction from a grip.
To let things slide from one to other
Let friction and force do not matter.
But don't you worry. I won't be too rough.
I just want to prank people
to make them slip and laugh.
