We all know how expensive having a baby is nowadays. Aside from milk, diapers, and vaccines, we also need to provide other items such as strollers and cribs. That constant upgrading, especially when you are a first-time parent.
Back then, before he was born, I bought a crib along with pillows, a bolster, a mattress, and a bump guard. Then, after I gave birth, I purchased a stroller. Thus, since I didn't give birth naturally and seldom go out, I only used it here inside our house.

Thus, when he could already sit on his own, I decided to sell this one for $17. After I bought a new one appropriate for his age, I added only $10. The sentimental part of me wanted to keep this, but I wanted to save money and space. Our house doesn't have a storage area. (Which is broken now because he kept on rocking it.🤣)
Now that he is walking, keeping him in the crib was dangerous, as he learnt to climb out. I decided to sell it and buy rubber mats instead. At first, I was planning to post it in the FB marketplace, but I remembered we have a GC for all women here in the community. I tried my luck.
To my surprise, many are interested.
Post translation: Anyone interested in buying? My child no longer likes staying in the crib.
There were several buyers, but, of course, I went to whoever inquired first. Others express dismay, but I know I was fair.
Where to buy rubber mats?
I checked online, and it was too expensive, so I opted for this;
I used the money from selling his crib.

A crawling mat, not as thick as the rubber, but at least had something on the floor for my toddler not to get hurt.
It was delivered to our doorstep a few days later.
I chose these colors because they still matched the wall colors and furniture.
After a few minutes, I finally finished placing it, as my son kept snatching anything. He wanted to get involved, you know how toddlers are.
He kept on climbing up here on the couch, and yes, I am always looking after him, yet prevention is always better.
I plan to add more next month.
*It was purchased in the first week of November, and so far it has been a great help. This has become Caleb's play area since we don't have an extra room. Yeah, toys are sometimes scattered right after you enter our home 🤣.
To Mom here, how do you upgrade for babies' essentials?
