The questions for this week are:
- 1️⃣ If you could redesign the world in one small way, what would you change?
- 2️⃣ What simple joy do you think the world needs more of?
I can answer either one or both. So I prefer to answer both questions. Here are the answers:
Question 1: If you could redesign the world in one small way, what would you change?
Today we see everywhere and through all media that one country is against the other. This causes differences and war between nations. Each one prevails over the other. In most cases, this is to seize the country's wealth. For as long as I can remember, I have heard reports of war all over the globe. Very recently, in July 2026, I participated in my first poetry festival. Where some native poets were honored and poems were also performed for Palestine.
Of course the poems were filled with sadness, because war brings desolation and sadness. But there is also hope. Hope that one day these differences between countries will end.
What would I change?: Perhaps it's something silly or insignificant. But I would remove the borders. Those imaginary lines that divide us. That in some cases raise walls and barriers, causing division. In places where people once lived in harmony.
Question 2:What simple joy do you think the world needs more of?
I was recently talking to my only son who is still at home, and I was telling him about an experience at the school where I am doing my professional work. On Wednesday, my tutor was giving some assessments to the 6th grade section C students of the Caridad Villasana school in Villa de Cura. One of the young men, after handing in his assessment, approached me and asked for a hug. He was very nervous about the assessment. I hugged him and spoke to him in a small voice. He sighed and walked away calmly. After a while, when he was calmer, I encouraged him to share hugs with his family when he got home. He flatly refused. If anything, he would only hug his mother.
This experience made me think about the many children who are out there without anyone showing them any affection. Something that a child needs very much to have good emotional development.
Giving and receiving 10 hugs, this is what I would do. A simple hug brings joy because it causes our brain to release happiness hormones. A simple gesture, a hug. So powerful to change a person's day and mood. They reset me. That's why I practice it at home, at school, and when I meet up with friends.

This is my entry for the 278th edition of the Hice Ladies Community (LOH).
Until next time 🫂😘🤗
