My older sister, Gladis, is one of my favorite or most special people. She's always there for me, supporting me and whenever I need her. She holds a very special place in my heart. Even though we don't live in the same city, we talk every day, no matter how busy we are. And when we have the chance, we travel to each other's houses to spend time together, hug, laugh, have coffee, and have a lovely weekend full of positive emotions.
Siblings truly are that bond of blood and heart that cannot be broken no matter how much turbulence and challenge we face, a love that is seen, felt, and demonstrated. That is my relationship with my sister; we are accomplices, unconditional support; she will always be by my side and vice versa in good times and bad. Perhaps we don't share the same history, the same tastes, or even belong to the same church or religious belief, but we respect each other's way of being without judging one another.
Siblings are the greatest gift God and our parents give us; with them we create our first memories. Gladis has always been my guide, my role model, the one who orients me, the one who scolds me, the one who applauds me when necessary. She became my best friend, that comfortable and safe refuge where I go when I feel overwhelmed, confused, or when the world scares me the most. Gladis is my favorite person, and I shared a lot with her this past year. I hope and wish to continue doing so.

Realmente los hermanos son ese lazo de sangre y de corazón que no se rompe por más turbulencias y desafío que pasemos, un amor que se ve, se siente y se demuestra, así es mi relación con mi hermana somos cómplices, apoyo incondicional siempre estará a mi lado y viceversa en las buenas y en las malas, quizás no compartimos la misma historia, los mismos gustos ni siquiera pertenecemos a la misma iglesia o creencia religiosa pero respetamos nuestra forma de ser sin juzgarnos.
