Esta semana la temática me resultó muy interesante puesto que una de las preguntas es "Si pudieras tener algún talento en el mundo, ¿cual sería?" Y ¡WOW! vaya que es algo que siempre he deseado y lamentablemente no nací con esa habilidad que para mi, mas que un talento, es un don.

This week's theme was very interesting to me since one of the questions is "If you could have any talent in the world, what would it be? " And WOW! it is something I have always wanted and unfortunately I was not born with that ability that for me, more than a talent, is a gift.

Iniciaré citando una definición de Talento":

"Se conoce como talento al conjunto de facultades, tanto artísticas como intelectuales, que dispone una persona y que entonces gracias a la disposición de las mismas es capaz de destacarse en algún nivel de estos campos." Fuente

I will begin by quoting a definition of Talent":

"Talent is known as the set of faculties, both artistic and intellectual, that a person has and then thanks to the disposition of these faculties is able to excel at some level in these fields." Source

Soy de las que piensa que el talento en los seres humanos, por lo general es innato, mas sin embargo, queda claro que tambien existen personas que se dedican a estudiar y aprender sobre algo en especifico porque sienten que son capaces de hacerlo y lo logran.

I am one of those who think that talent in human beings, in general, is innate, but nevertheless, it is clear that there are also people who dedicate themselves to study and learn about something specific because they feel they are capable of doing it and they succeed.

Albert Einstein

Parafraseando un poco su biografía descrita en Wikipedia, dice que desde niño mostró dificultad para expresarse y para socializar con las demas personas y además tuvo un profesor que llegó a decirle que "nunca conseguiría nada en la vida", imaginen cuánto pudo haberlo marcado esa frase. Einstein desde niño demostró y supo que tenía talento para las matemáticas y la física, era una habilidad innata, ciertamente requería de estudios, fue tildado de mal estudiante por sus notas en las asignaturas de letras pero sin reconocer sus excelentes calificaciones en las de ciencias. Aún así sin importarle nada, su disposición, curiosidad y sobre todo su convicción lo convirtió en lo que hoy todos sabemos, uno de los mejores y más conocidos científicos del mundo.

Albert Einstein

Paraphrasing a little his biography described in Wikipedia, it says that since childhood he showed difficulty to express himself and to socialize with other people and also had a teacher who told him that "he would never get anything in life", imagine how much that phrase could have marked him. Einstein since he was a child showed and knew that he had talent for mathematics and physics, it was an innate ability, it certainly required studies, he was branded as a bad student for his grades in the subjects of letters but without recognizing his excellent grades in the sciences. Still, no matter what, his willingness, curiosity and above all his conviction turned him into what we all know today, one of the best and best known scientists in the world.

Inteligencias Múltiples

Yo apoyo la Teoría de las Inteligencias múltiples, esa que dice que todos tenemos diversas capacidades y habilidades, las cuales desarrollamos individualmente o en conjunto dependiendo de la tarea que vamos a realizar, donde cada persona como individuo único, las explota de manera diferente.

Multiple Intelligences

I support the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, the one that says that we all have different abilities and skills, which we develop individually or together depending on the task we are going to perform, where each person as a unique individual, exploits them differently.

Uno de mis talentos

Desde niña la música en todas sus expresiones ha sido mi debilidad, estudie 3 años de solfeo que es donde te enseñan a leer las partituras musicales y su entonación basicamente, hice 2 años de piano (instrumento musical que me enamora), luego por cosas de la vida no pude continuar y eso alli quedó.

En el colegio siempre buscaba las maneras de participar en los bailes y actividades culturales, desde entonces supe que bailar era apasionante para mi, era ese momento de felicidad implícita que sientes cuando haces algo que te llena el alma.

Esa pasión la tuve en mi infancia, la mantuve en mi adolescencia y la mantengo durante mi adultez. De hecho hasta que salí embarazada de mi primera hija (hace 5años) forme parte de una academia de baile donde incursioné en la salsa casino y la bachata, entre otros ritmos que se suman con cursos cortos que realicé. Fui bailarina e instructora de estilo femenino y participé en competencias nacionales. ¡Que magníficos recuerdos!

One of my talents

Since I was a child music in all its expressions has been my weakness, I studied 3 years of solfeggio which is where they teach you to read musical scores and intonation basically, I did 2 years of piano (musical instrument that I love), then for things of life I could not continue and that's where it stayed.

At school I was always looking for ways to participate in dances and cultural activities, since then I knew that dancing was passionate for me, it was that moment of implicit happiness that you feel when you do something that fills your soul.

I had that passion in my childhood, I kept it in my adolescence and I keep it during my adulthood. In fact, until I became pregnant with my first daughter (5 years ago), I was part of a dance academy where I tried salsa casino and bachata, among other rhythms that are added with short courses that I did. I was a dancer and instructor of women's style and participated in national competitions, what great memories!

El talento que no tengo pero quisiera tener

A pesar de que el baile es mi manera de expresar la música, y ME ENCANTA, siempre me ha gustado cantar, de hecho lo hago, solo que se me escucha muy mal jajaja

Siento que cantar es una habilidad, un talento increible, y si, muchos dicen que es algo que se puede aprender, quizá si hubiese seguido en la escuela de música cuando era niña, lo hubiese conseguido. Pero asi por simples ganas de poder hacerlo bueno, a mi no me ha funcionado. De verdad canto buenisimo pero se me escucha malisimo.

Recordando entonces eso de las inteligencias múltiples, donde concluyo que mi inteligencia musical no ha sido tan desarrollada como mi inteligencia corporal cinestésica, sin embargo, en un bailarín ambas deben ir de la mano.

The talent that I don't have but I wish I had

Even though dancing is my way of expressing music, and I LOVE it, I have always loved to sing, in fact I do it, I just sound really bad hahaha.

I feel that singing is a skill, an incredible talent, and yes, many say that it is something that can be learned, maybe if I had gone to music school when I was a kid, I would have gotten it. But just because I wanted to be able to do it well, it hasn't worked for me. I really sing very well but I sound terrible.

Remembering then that of multiple intelligences, where I conclude that my musical intelligence has not been as developed as my kinesthetic bodily intelligence, however, in a dancer both should go hand in hand.

¿Cuantos nos hemos sentido identificados con una canción? ¿Cuantos recuerdos puede traernos la letra de una canción? ¿A cuantos nos une la música?

Entonces sin duda, si pudiera tener algun talento, aparte del baile, que como les dije tambien lo amo y lo disfruto al máximo, quisiera que fuera CANTAR.

How many of us have identified with a song? How many memories can the lyrics of a song bring back? How many of us are united by music?

**So without a doubt, if I could have any talent, apart from dancing, which as I told you I also love and enjoy to the fullest, I would like it to be SINGING!

Aunque te digan que no puedes, siempre que sientas que eres capaz de lograr algo, solo HAZLO, si a la primera no te sale y aun crees que si eres capaz de lograrlo, repite el procedimiento las veces que sean necesarias.

Even if they tell you that you can't, whenever you feel that you are capable of achieving something, just DO IT, if at the first time you don't get it and you still believe that you are capable of achieving it, repeat the procedure as many times as necessary.

PD. Con respecto a la pregunta sobre qué tema me gusta discutir, pues es de mi agrado, entre otras cosas, los temas de cuidado personal en líneas generales. Considero que debemos cuidar mucho nuestra salud y esto lleva consigo nuestro cuerpo en su totalidad, sobre todo nosotras como mujeres que siempre estamos entre secarnos o plancharnos el cabello, pedicure, manicure, definiendo si la mascarilla casera con aguacate y aceite de coco o la comercial esa costosa pero que es buenísima. Eso en algun momento a todas nos ha pasado, entonces, disfruto compartiendo un buen cafe y una conversación donde cada una echa el cuento de su ritual de belleza preferido por asi decirlo.

PD. Regarding the question about what topic I like to discuss, I like, among other things, personal care issues in general. I believe that we must take care of our health and this involves our body as a whole, especially us as women who are always between drying or ironing our hair, pedicure, manicure, defining if the homemade mask with avocado and coconut oil or the expensive but very good commercial one. That has happened to all of us at some point, so I enjoy sharing a good coffee and a conversation where each one tells the story of her favorite beauty ritual so to speak.
