Some days don't need big events to be remembered.
Today was like that.
These are the ordinary snapshots that make up our simple, imperfect life.
A day of caring, cleaning, worrying, and still finding space to breathe.

Sick Hubby
My day began unusually. My hubby didn't rise like he always does. No morning chores, no feeding the chickens, no work. He just stayed, wrapped in his blanket. At first, I thought he might have just been tired the night before. We all have those mornings. But then I noticed him reach for a paracetamol and swallow it. That was clear. He wasn't well.

Hunter In The Mud
Late in the morning, our cat Hunter was covered in mud from head to paw. 🤦🏼♀️ I already knew where he had been... In the rice field. He may have slipped and landed right into the muddy earth. I can't stop laughing. 😂 But of course, I clean him up, even though he hates water. I don't want him walking in the house like that.

Rashes
When the afternoon came, red rashes began to appear on hubby's skin. First on his butt, then spreading to his back and arms. Seeing him like that made me worry. I kept asking him how he felt, if it was itchy, and if something earlier had triggered it. My mind started running through possibilities. This wasn't something we should ignore. Better to go to the clinic tomorrow.

Drinking At Night
In the evening, my aunt invited us over for a drink. It wasn't a party, just an invitation to sit, breathe, and let the heaviness of the day loosen up a little. The whole day had been filled with tiredness, stress, and worry. So, it's time to give ourselves permission to rest differently.

So that's it.
My ordinary day. 🩷
Today taught me that being a wife means carrying worry quietly. I also learn to stay calm.
An ordinary day like this no longer means simple or easy. The problems are there, but what's important is to keep moving.
Until my next everyday snapshots...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
