Music has been a way of expressing one's feelings. If you're happy, sad, and having a normal day, you can grab your favorite musical instrument, play with it and sing as you like. If your voice doesn't jive to the tune, you can still go on and play it with all your heart.🥰
This week has been so exhilarating for me because this is my first time joining such contest. Thanks for creating one Ladies of Hive. Please, feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section, as you go along reading my answer to the question:
- What is your favorite musical instrument and why? Do you know how to play it? If not, do you think there are limits to learning to play it?
Growing up, I have seen my father playing different musical instruments like guitar, bass drum, and cilindro but we never, did we have our guitar. He just borrowed with his friends since that was their favorite pastime; advanced technology wasn't the trend before; it was an advantage because they could focus on learning lots of things, including knowing how to play the latter and enhancing their vocal cords.
When I saw my father playing the guitar, I thought it was just a piece of cake; I told him to teach me. Yes, he attempted to let me learn the basic chords, and learn some of them, but my father didn't have a lot of patience for me to discover; he liked me to grasp all the basic chords in just a short period until I gave up learning.
What Is Truly My Favorite Musical Instrument?
High school was one of my memorable days as I was a member of a band in our school called (Drum, Lyre, Biogul, and Company -DLBC). My role was a twirler from the 7th to the 10th grade. Though I'm not into dancing still, I joined because my teacher encouraged me. During my 8th grade, that was the time that my sister entered the 7th grade and joined the band as well. Her role was a Lyrist. Every time I see my sister practicing the lyre at school and home, there's this eagerness to try.
My sister was so kind that she even let me practice her instrument, and eventually, loved it. There was one time I was the one who substituted for her during band rehearsals because she wasn't feeling better at that time. From then on, I loved it, and even my favorite up to this day.
By the way, our mother pushed us to join different school activities back in our high school days and always provide us with everything we needed (the materials).
Therefore, my favorite musical instrument is LYRE, and I know how to play it.
