I'm not bilingual because I still have a long way to go, but I enjoy reading and practicing through music this language that I find very cool although it has its degrees of complications haha.

How many languages can you speak? And what language would you want to learn more than anything?
Todo comenzó con mi hermano y su pasión por la música, él solía siempre ver canales de televisión donde pasaban videos musicales, si mal no recuerdo estábamos en los inicios de los 2000 donde pasábamos mucho tiempo juntos y como mi hermana estaba muy pequeña recuerdo que en algunas ocasiones soliamos a hablar de música. Sobre todo de la música que transmitían en MTV y también nos gustaba ver las premiaciones que para esos tiempos mostraban artistas grandes como Madonna, Eminem, Britney Spears, Cher, entre otros.
It all started with my brother and his passion for music, he used to always watch TV channels where they showed music videos, if I remember correctly we were in the early 2000's where we spent a lot of time together and as my sister was very young I remember that sometimes we used to talk about music. Especially about the music that was broadcasted on MTV and we also liked to watch the award shows that at that time showed great artists such as Madonna, Eminem, Britney Spears, Cher, among others.
Desde esos tiempos mi hermano que sabe bastante del idioma me inspiraba a interesarme por el mundo de la música en inglés, me gustaba mucho poder aprender de las canciones que escuchábamos juntos y también luego cuando fui creciendo escogí los géneros que más me gustaban en la música como el pop, pop/rock, indie/alternativo, rock/alternativo. Me convertí en una fanática de varios artistas en mi adolescencia entre ellos Justin Bieber que para ese entonces estaba en la cumbre de la fama aunque era bastante odiado 🤭.
Since those times my brother who knows quite a lot of the language inspired me to be interested in the world of music in English, I really liked being able to learn from the songs we listened to together and also later when I was growing up I chose the genres I liked the most in music like pop, pop/rock, indie/alternative, rock/alternative. I became a fan of several artists in my teenage years among them Justin Bieber who by then was at the peak of fame although he was quite hated 🤭.
Siendo fanática de tantos artistas fue como empecé a aprender inglés de manera superficial, al menos sabía lo básico y me podía defender en la escuela en las clases de inglés. Luego de terminar el bachillerato comencé un curso de inglés para aprender más a profundidad todo acerca del idioma empezando desde lo más básico y llegue hasta el nivel intermedio, recuerdo con cariño esos meses en el curso, disfrutaba mucho poder aprender más acerca de este idioma universal.
Being a fan of so many artists was how I started to learn English in a superficial way, at least I knew the basics and I could defend myself at school in English classes. After finishing high school I started an English course to learn more in depth everything about the language starting from the basics and reached the intermediate level, I remember fondly those months in the course, I enjoyed learning more about this universal language.
Hoy en día me gustaría poder mejorar mi inglés, se que lo puedo entender al escucharlo y también al leerlo, pero hablarlo ya es otra historia. Tal vez el miedo a cometer errores hace que sea difícil desenvolverme al intentar hablarlo. Pero entre tantos idiomas siento que el ingles es uno de los menos complicados, el español tiene demasiadas cosas que pueden llegar a confundir a las personas que están aprendiendo este idioma. Sin embargo sigo disfrutando de escuchar música en inglés y de encontrar nuevas canciones y artistas de los cuales disfruto en mi día a día.
Nowadays I would like to improve my English, I know I can understand it when I listen to it and also when I read it, but speaking it is another story. Maybe the fear of making mistakes makes it difficult to get by when trying to speak it. But among so many languages I feel that English is one of the least complicated, Spanish has too many things that can confuse people who are learning this language. However, I still enjoy listening to music in English and finding new songs and artists that I enjoy in my day to day life.
Espero poder mejorar en algún momento mi forma de hablar en ingles y conocer a otras personas que sean nativas, sería genial poder conocer algún país donde pueda hablar con otras personas en ingles y así pienso que con la práctica es que se puede llegar a mejorar y perfeccionar el *
-speaking-. Mientras tanto utilizo herramientas como Duolingo que es una aplicación para el teléfono donde puedes aprender diferentes idiomas, aunque tiene sus detalles y no es perfecta sirve para practicar las cosas que ya sabes del idioma y aprender a escribir y a practicar al momento de pronunciar las palabras. Es un idioma increíble que vale la pena aprender sobre todo porque te abre muchas puertas tanto en lo personal como a la hora de buscar un trabajo. ☺️
I hope to improve at some point my English speaking and meet other people who are native speakers, it would be great to meet a country where I can talk to other people in English and so I think that with practice is that you can get to improve and perfect the -speaking-.Meanwhile I use tools like Duolingo which is an application for the phone where you can learn different languages, although it has its details and is not perfect serves to practice the things you already know the language and learn to write and practice when pronouncing the words. It is an incredible language that is worth learning especially because it opens many doors for you both personally and when looking for a job. ☺️
