@LadiesofHive Community Contest #258 questions for the week are:
1οΈβ£ According to my post-retirement financial model, I could almost afford an overseas trip every other year. I'd like my Hive sisters or brothers to plan my 3-day visit to your home town or city. What would we do and where would we go for me to experience your culture? πππ / ππ ~2οΈβ£ The Anime and Manga style of entertainment has become very popular in the western world. What Anime or Manga character(s) do you best identify with, and why?
That's an interesting question and something that I would enjoy replying to because I enjoy planning vacation, not just for myself but for my family and friends also. I am known as the Travel Expert in my circle, and every year I have some or the other guests visiting me for holidays.
So my dear friend I will be more then happy to host you. When it comes to location you will have 2 choices, Mumbai and Muscat because my life is divided in these 2 places. So let me quickly plan your 3 days short trip at both of these places and then you can decide which one is luring to you.
Muscat is the city of perfection, absolutely no poverty, spic and span, a place with beautiful beaches and mountains. If you are an adventurous person and enjoys nature you will fall in love with this place. The only drawback here is that it's quite barren, but you will barely notice that because there is so much other kind of beauty here that the barrenness goes unnoticed.
To start will one day we will spend in the city and I will take you to some of the most marvelous places like the Grand Mosque, the Royal Opera House, the traditional souk market which showcases the culture of the Country in depth, where you can shop some souvenirs to gift to your friends. On this day we can also do Dolphin watching and then in the evening spend leisure time at the corniche. Oman beaches are clean and water is crystal clear.
On day 2 we can go up to the mountains and watch the grand canyons of Oman, it is a breathtaking sight. The journey is long and on the way a lot of rugged beauty to explore. On day 3 I will take you to some attractions which are away from the city, like the Museum, which is one of a kind interactive museum, we can also go to one of the fascinating sights of sink hole, and the other place not to be missed is the mountain caves. During these 3 days I will make you experience some local cuisines. All of this together will make your trip a memorable one of your life time.
Now comes Mumbai, it's a city that never sleeps so if you wish we can be outdoors 24 hours. On day one again I will take you through all the city sightseeing's like the Gateway of India where we can do a boat ride, The Victoria Terminus, Hanging Garden, Marine Drive which is also called the Queen's necklace. We can visit one of the Temples and experience the divinity. In the evening I can take you to a pub where you can experience the night life and sway yourself and end the day.
On day 2 I can take you to my home which is away from the city between the mountains. You will surely be mesmerized by the beauty of the place. On day 3 we can go to Elephanta caves which is a world heritage site.
In Mumbai it is more about the experiences that you go through, there are lots of places to see in the passing. There are art galleries and museums. 3 days is never enough for the place. But still you will get the feel of the place and also shatter some of the perceptions that people normally have about India, that it is a country full of poverty. Mumbai is a city full of diversity and you will experience the best hospitality over here.
I am sure you will enjoy both these cities and it will be difficult for you to choose which one you should travel to.
For the second question, I have no clue what these characters are :-)
