Regardless, we all make sure to get the job done and make the bag which has always been the goal for us all. My work has grown to become an integral part of my life and for someone who’s into a lot of stuff, I do value my time so much. A few years ago when Covid hit us unexpectedly, money had to be made because even in the lockdown we needed to survive. Instead of closing down businesses and services we needed to on the daily basis, most companies resorted to allowing their workers work from home to reduce their risks of getting down with Covid. Aside health workers, this move worked for most people and as time went by, we all started to get used to it.
Post Covid, working from home has grown to become an everyday thing for most people. You sometimes apply for a job and you have the option to work remotely or in person. This I would is a very good move for most business because in a way, it cuts down on cost to some extent and also helps some employees work better. I for one don’t really enjoy working from home but for others, that’s where they are most productive.
I work from home sometimes and what I have realized on such occasions is that I’m too comfortable in my personal space which sometimes leads me to procrastinate. This in turn reduces my productivity a lot as compared to when I decide to step out and work out of my comfort zone. There are days I want to and do work from home because of the work that I want to do but most of the time, I prefer to work away from home in a different environment.
This helps me work more and times my mind off resting for 5 minutes which later tends to an hour or more of watching a movie and the lost continues until I waste the day away. I understand that it’s mostly about self discipline but sometimes the brain is too saturated to work and you need to step out of your comfort zone to get a little bit of work done.
