What are your goals that you want to achieve in 2022?
Ending the year 2021 and entering 2022 most people will think about what are their goals for the next year?
My old one will write so many goals and the details on how I can achieve that goals. And for the whole year I will work so hard on achieving those goals.
Yes, I am that kind of person. Perfectionist, love to plan everything, and become too hard on myself.
After I experienced mental illness condition few years ago, I didn't have many goals anymore for the new year. My priority was only to survive for several years. As long as I didn't give up, kept doing my treatment and become stable. That was my only goal that time, to survive. I didn't really plan everything, I tried to live as flexible person. Didn't get too strict and hard on myself.
Until finally last year I finished my treatment, my doctor said I was stable and I could stop my medication.
And then I entered 2021 after my long healing journey, I was still in my transition, tried to be stable more without medication, but suddenly pandemic came and made everything much more difficult.
2021 was full of ups and downs, my mood and emotions were like roller coaster. It was so difficult to live the 2021 especially for person who's dealing with mental health condition. It was dark year for me.
But I am grateful I survived 2021 well, I didn't give up.
And Now I am entering 2022 and I have one and only goal to achieve in 2022 : Become Mentally Healthy and Stable.
I really want to experience stability this year. I don't want to experience the extreme mood changing. It's so tiring.
And I know to achieve this one and only goal I need to work hard.
To be mentally healthy and stable I need to be discipline oan doing these things :
- make sure I have enough sleep, at least 8 hours per day
- make sure to eat healthy food. (avoid some food which is not good for my mental health)
- make sure to do exercise
- talk to psychologist/therapist or support group regularly
- write a journal every day
This is my one and only goal for 2022.
I hope I can achieve this goal.
