There's an adage that says Health is Wealth. But then, we can easily take our health for granted when we are feeling strong and healthy. But trust me, prevention is way easier than cure.
For me, self care is the most important thing, despite our busy schedule, it's all about balance. When I'm not sick, I focus on keeping my body and mind in shape. Here's my everyday health care routine:
I start my day with a 20 - 30 minutes workout either running or some stretches. After that I have my tea which is made from Turmeric, Ginger, Garlic, Lemon, Black pepper, Cinnamon and Clover. Like this morning I drank my Turmeric, Ginger, Garlic and Lemon tea. It gets the blood flowing and sets a positive vibes.
When it comes to eating, am mindful of what I eat. I try to eat a whole nutrient-rich foods. Like fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean proteins. Though, I occasionally indulge in jollof rice but with veggies and balance is always the key.
I drink plenty of water throughout the day. Though It's easy for one to forget, but, staying hydrated makes a big difference. I also replaced soda carbonated drinks with fruit juice.

We sometimes find it difficult to get a good sleep at night, but sleeping up to 7-8 hours each night is very important. I try to get enough sleep at night
For my Mental well being I take a few minutes each day to breathe, and meditate. It helps to keep stress in check. Take 30 minutes - 1 hour to Walk.
This is not about me being perfect, rather being healthy or taking care of one's health, especially when we are healthy and strong. It's easy to feel relaxed when we are not sick. But that's exactly when we should double check on self-care, because Healthy is Wealth.
