Como mujeres tenemos responsabilidades con nuestros cuerpos por eso debemos recurrir de manera frecuente al ginecólogo, normalmente cada 6 meses para nuestros chequeos de rutina, al ser mujer debido a las diversas cargas hormales estamos susceptibles a padecer de ovarios polisquisticos como es mi caso, también debemos conocer la salud de nuestro cuello uterino realizando la citologia que nos permite conocer las células que están ahí presentes, este sábado para mi estuvo cargado de mucha salud ya que decidí iniciar este año, asumiendo mis males ginecologicos con el sintrome de ovario polisquisticos.
As women we have responsibilities with our bodies that is why we must go frequently to the gynaecologist, normally every 6 months for our routine check-ups, being a woman due to the various hormonal loads we are susceptible to suffer from polycystic ovaries as is my case, we must also know the health of our cervix performing the cytology that allows us to know the cells that are present there, this Saturday for me was loaded with much health as I decided to start this year, assuming my gynaecological ills with the syndrome of polycystic ovary.
Al llegar a la consulta, la Doctora me realizo las siguientes preguntas de rutina como hace cuando fue mi último período mentrual, cuando fue mi último control ginecologica, así como también cuando fue mi última citologia, ya que la misma fue hace casi 6 meses, el ambiente fue toralmente agradable y la ginecóloga me dio mucha seguridad, esto es muy importante ya que debemos sentirnos en absoluta confianza no podemos poner nuestra salud en manos de cualquiera y mas si es tan personal como nuestra salud intima por completo. Siempre es importante buscar especialistas de ginecologia que esten egresados de una buena casa de estudios verificar si ejercen de manera legal, normal soy muy rigurosa y celosa con mi salud.
When I arrived at the consultation, the doctor asked me the following routine questions such as when was my last menstrual period, when was my last gynaecological control, as well as when was my last cytology, as it was almost 6 months ago, the atmosphere was really pleasant and the gynaecologist gave me a lot of security, this is very important as we must feel in absolute confidence we can not put our health in the hands of anyone and more if it is as personal as our intimate health completely. It is always important to look for gynaecology specialists who are graduates of a good university to verify if they practice in a legal way, I am very rigorous and jealous of my health.
Luego me acoste para que Doctora, procediera a realizarme la citologia, me dijo que mi cuello uterino se encuentra toralmente sano de color rosado, sin cambios de coloración o presencia de lesiones cervicales blancas, me dijo que es importante resaltar que clinícamente todo se ve bien, pero otra cosa es lo que puede establecer los resultados de citologia mediante el estudio de las celulas, esperemos que estos resultados sean favorables y estoy esperanzada en que si, normalmente mis anteriores citologias han salido muy bien, la importancia de esto es poder realizarnos citologias por lo menos cada 6 meses y como mínimo una vez al año.
Then I went to bed so that the doctor could proceed to carry out the cytology, she told me that my cervix is torally healthy, pink in colour, with no changes in colour or presence of white cervical lesions, she told me that it is important to emphasise that clinically everything looks good, but another thing is what the results of the cytology can establish through the study of the cells, let's hope that these results are favourable and I am hopeful that they will be, normally my previous cytologies have come out very well, the importance of this is to be able to have cytologies at least every 6 months and at least once a year.
Una vez que la Doctora realizo la citologia, procedió a realizar la colposcopia particularmente primera vez que me la realizo y esta nos permite corroborar por completo, si nuestro cuello uterino esta totalmente sano, esta no es mas que un tipo de prueba que nos permitira detectar cualquier tipo de cancer o lesión del cuello uterino, y esta permite la detección de células anormales, primeramente la ginecologo aplico el ácido acético este liquido lo que hace es que causa una pequeña hinchazon en el cuello permitiendo así detectar cualquier epitelio anormal, luego se aplica el lugol que es una solución rica en glucogeno, este tipo de liquido tiene una gran predilección por las células del cuello uterino, por lo que cambia de coloración si se est en presencia de vph o lesiones malignas, en mi colposcopia no hubo ninguna lesión, fue satisfactoria.
Once the doctor performed the cytology, she proceeded to perform the colposcopy, particularly for the first time and this allows us to corroborate completely if our cervix is completely healthy, this is nothing more than a type of test that will allow us to detect any type of cancer or lesion of the cervix, and this allows the detection of abnormal cells, First of all the gynaecologist applied acetic acid, this liquid causes a small swelling in the cervix allowing us to detect any abnormal epithelium, then lugol is applied which is a solution rich in glycogen, this type of liquid has a great predilection for the cells of the cervix, so it changes colour if it is in the presence of HPV or malignant lesions, in my colposcopy there was no lesion, it was satisfactory.
