Greetings, super ladies of hive.
This topic is like a torchlight down the memory lane.
I LOVE YOU is a strong word used by so many people either for fake or for real.
However, this is a word I desired so much to hear as a kid but due to some circumstances, I did not hear it from anyone till the age of 18yrs. Although, before then, I've always seen it in most letters written to me by so many admirers but there was just one person I really craved to receive or hear it from and that's my childhood friend, Chris.
During my days as a kid, there was a game called sand and stick that we used to play. We'll gather sand and put a stick on it and every child will start pulling down the sand gradually and once the stick falls, anyone who made it to fall will call the name of his/her dream husband🤣🤣 So, I'll always call Chris as my husband and no one else dares mention his name in this game. I kept seeing him as my dream man till we started dating but in all these my mum never approved me of any relationship within my locality. That will be a story for another day😉
On the issue of loving him, I loved him with everything in me but the day I actually said it to him was the day I got informed that he was denied Visa to USA, I knew it was weighing him down so, I went to his place, gave him a hug and whispered to him and said, I LOVE YOU and I truly meant it. Right in my arms, I told him that what is written is written and no one can change it. I'm so glad that his dream on that was fulfilled.
Nevertheless, this relationship never grew to what we dreamt but I thank God that he gave us the chance to experience Love in another dimension. I am now happily married to my loving/caring husband with three kids and he is also married to his beautiful wife.
