Hi Ladies, Hivers, and friends!
This post was supposed to be an entry into the LOH contest.
But I couldn't submit my entry on time due to some personal issues.
But nevertheless, I won't let it rest in my draft, I will share it here with you.
For me, my favorite holiday is that time of the year when I get a special new outfit for a particular day. This outfit is always beautifully designed and lovingly bought by my parents.
I do get new clothes on other days too, but these ones hold so many precious memories with my family and friends.
I'll always remember the delicious food and drinks we had, the places we visited, and most importantly, which family members came back home for our family get-together.
I love that time when the church is filled from the sanctuary to the entrance end, and the choir sings "Joy to the World" so beautifully that it feels like baby Jesus is right there in his mother's arms, right in front of the church.
You know what else I love?; it's when mom buys a Christmas tree and colorful ribbons and balloons for our living room. I'll hold the long stool for her while she climbs up to hang the red, green, and white decorations on the walls inside and outside of our house.
Me and my siblings always try our best to make beautiful cards and letters for everyone at home and even our neighbors.
On the 25th we will send food to the family next to us, and they will return the plate with their own delicious food inside. Mom calls it a celebration of love.

I love how colorful the streets become during this time!
Women and children wear hair accessories that blink with lights, and some kids will wear those shoes that sing the popular Christmas song "Jingle Bell."
I remember wearing it too. I would purposely tap my leg while walking so my shoes would sing, much to the amusement of my friends.

It's the time when young men and women start noticing each other since everyone has come back to their hometown.
A simple "Hi! Are you from here?" can lead to finding a prospective husband or wife.
I treasure Christmas the most because it brings so much joy and happiness to my family and friends. It's usually a time for us to come together after being apart for so long.
For some people, it's the only time they get to rest after working hard for almost a whole year.
The weather during Christmas is also interesting. It's wet and cold in the morning and then it magically turns dry by noon.
One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is being able to travel back home and spend time with my grandparents. It's also a chance to meet new friends who have also come to visit their loved ones.
And it's in a few weeks time!
