Most of us have heard the name of Nelson Mandela, the great politician and the president of South Africa. And he was awarded by Nobel Peace Prize. Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison for opposing South Africa’s apartheid system. He is a great Ideal for me for his patience and struggles. To achieve equality for all people of South Africa, and never give up throughout his prison time. It was not as easy as we thought. Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years of imprisonment in Robben Island, There were no White prisoners. At Rivonia Trial, 1964,"I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.” The prison time of Nelson Mandela was too difficult and full of challenges, as per the BBC archive,” Mandela spent 18 years of his prison term on Robben Island. He was held in a small cell without any plumbing, sleeping on a mat on the stone floor. During the day he did gruelling work labouring at a limestone quarry. "Lime is a very difficult thing, you know, to dig because it is in layers. It is between layers of rock, hard rock." After going through his struggle-filled life, his determination to achieve success persuaded me to take him as my Ideal man of patience.
Patience is not merely a virtue; it's a cornerstone for achieving lasting success and happiness, both in business and life. In today's fast-paced world, where instant gratification has become the norm, the value of patience often gets overshadowed. I’ve been trying to adopt this patience into my life since 2011. It is too difficult to stay patient. Business and family life are full of challenges. One finishes, then another appears without giving a notice. Sometimes, it seems to cross the limit of patience. At that time is also crucial to maintain daily life. I was determined to achieve success till now. At the time of facing difficulties, when it comes to family life, then seems impossible to have some patience. Sometimes I feel that my life is going to ruin, every initiative from my side is null and void. Family members also thought that I had lost my creativity and was getting lazy.
I was unable to make them understand the situation over there. No one tries to believe in my business policy. Also, I faced some criticism from family and friends. Sometimes, my pocket was too empty to cover my daily expenses. At that time, I felt depressed. Sometimes, I thought of leaving everything and going to the jungle to relax in nature. It is quite impossible to narrate and make it understand the actual situation to others. While life feels too challenging then I always take inspiration from my Ideal Nelson Mandela, remembering his struggles and patience.
I’m still determined to achieve success in my business and family life, despite what difficulties that appear and how critical challenges I have to face in the future. I won’t give up till the rest of my life. I only believe in my work, honesty, and patience. Today or tomorrow, I’ll be a successful man; nothing can stop me.
