LOH #164: My simple and beautiful Christmas

I am excited about Christmas, I am filled with beautiful memories and I repeat some traditions to feel in harmony with Christmas. I hope everyone is so excited about celebrating Christmas and the New Year, creating new projects, plans and diets.

2️⃣ If you had one magical wish for Christmas / holiday season, what would that be?
As I told you, Christmas is a date that makes my heart very happy. Of course, when we are gathered at the family table, it is natural to think about those who are not present for different reasons, whether due to distance or because they have died.
The family business that I run works throughout the month, we only take 15-day vacations in the month of January.
Even so, I make my Christmas preparations, like the traditional hallaca, which is always present on our Christmas table. It is accompanied by pernil, salad and ham bread.
Involving the family in the preparation of the hallacas has an order of hierarchy that is gained over time. We always include the little ones so that in certain activities that they can perform, they will go through stages such as washing the hallaca leaves delicately without breaking them, they will learn to make the dough balls and flatten them, place the stew and all the accompaniments and then to fold and tie.
Decorating the house with Christmas lights and placing the decorations and the nativity scene is traditional. I always set a nice table with a very special tablecloth woven by my mother-in-law.
My Christmas is very simple, it is time to sit down and talk with the family and take a few moments to share the food we have prepared.
I have a park very close that has been decorated with many lights and I have fun walking and taking pictures there, it just looks beautiful and illuminated.

A mi me emocionan las fechas navideñas, me lleno de recuerdos hermosos y repito algunas tradiciones para sentirme en armonía con la navidad. Espero que todos estén tan emocionados por la celebración de Navidad y año nuevo, elaborando nuevos proyectos, planes y dietas.

2️⃣ Si tuvieras un deseo mágico para Navidad/temporada navideña, ¿cuál sería?
Como les contaba la navidad es una fecha que me alegra mucho el corazón, por supuesto al momento de estar reunidos en la mesa familiar es natural pensar en los que por diferentes razones no están presentes, ya sea por la distancia o por que fallecieron.
La empresa familiar que regento trabaja durante todo el mes, solo tomamos vacaciones de 15 días en el mes de Enero.
Aún así realizo mis preparativos navideños, como la tradicional hallaca, que siempre esta presente en nuestra mesa de navidad. La acompañan el pernil, la ensalada y el pan de jamón.
Participar la familia en la preparación de las hallacas lleva un orden de jerarquía que se va ganando con el tiempo. Siempre incluimos a los más pequeños para en ciertas actividades que puedan cumplir, ellos pasaran por etapas como lavar las hojas de hallaca con delicadeza sin romperlas, aprenderán a realizar las bolas de masa y aplastarlas, colocar el guiso y todos los acompañantes y luego a doblar y amarrar.
Adornar la casa con las luces de navidad y colocar los adornos y el nacimiento es tradicional. Siempre coloco una bonita mesa con un mantel muy especial tejido por mi suegra.
Mi navidad es muy sencilla es momento de sentarse a conversar con la familia y tomarse unos momentos para compartir los alimentos que hemos preparado.
Tengo un parque muy cercano que lo han adornado con muchas luces y me divierte caminar y tomar fotografías allí, simplemente se ve hermoso e iluminado.
