My million dollars would be spent by "making a change on the worlds of those who I can reach."
For years, I've denied that I care for others. For years, I attempted to look cool, to look like that I'd be better alone. I tried to parallel my resting b*tch face to my attitude.
It gratified me to be praised for being independent (literally), and nothing can bother me, not even those helpless people.
But, all those attempts changed upon stepping my foot to Senior High School and became a part of Supreme Student Government.
Join me as I show you how I would spend my million dollars.
Honestly, I just published a blog, and I was about to sleep when I saw the challenge on 's discord channel. But since I wanted to share my thoughts about this challenge so bad and see that the deadline is a few hours from now, I wrote so fast. This possible situation has been in my mind for a long time, lol.
Not gonna lie; I'm currently doing my best in school to have a disciplined luxurious lifestyle. So,
- 50% of that would be for my savings, investments, businesses, and, of course, my family's future. (I've no plan of building my own family, hehe)
- 30% would be for sponsoring donation activities, as well as building a shelter for the homeless, orphans, animals, and elderly. Lol, I'm tearing up while writing this, haha.
- 10% would be for my siblings' educations.
50% for my personal and parents' interests
Investment & Businesses for family's future
My family's annual budget is Php 360,000.00. Currently, the Philippines has an average inflation rate of 4.4%.
So, ten (10) years from now, we should have an annual budget of Php 3,758,400.00. That's a massive increase!
So, to ensure that we have the same purchasing power ten (10) years from now, I want to put the money into investments, trading, and businesses.
Buying a big house is not yet an option for the first few years. Coz a house that doesn't generate an income is a liability, not an asset.
I'll be buying a house in an income-generating city suitable for my fam, not small but not yet big. And, Our former house should be rented. Wherein, the rent income from our former house must supply the monthly payment of the new house, hehe. So, our expenses will be canceled by our income. That's a win-win situation!
I'll also hire financial advisors for the whole money because I'm still a student and still have a lot to learn while ensuring all the legal papers are ready. (Just me avoiding the fraud, hehe.)
For the business, my goal is to have a real-estate business or at least be a co-owner of one. Why? Because I'll be assured that it will always generate income. Land never depreciates, or in layman's terms, "Land's value will never decline." Have you observed it? A land's price doesn't decrease. Its price always increases, right?
But, I'm still contemplating this real-estate business because it ruins our environment. But hopefully, we can develop programs and techniques to avoid ruining the environment for the sake of human shelter.
I would also buy my dad's one-way ticket from Saudi to the Philippines. It saddens me that he has never been home since 2019 due to the pandemic. The ticket price has been doubled until this day, so he can't come home because that's a large amount of money we can't attempt to spend. So, I entered freelancing this year, trying to pool that amount. But no luck, Sherlock.
He has been an OFW since I was in Grade 3, and now I'm a 2nd-year college student. I want him to stay in here for good.
This photo was captured last 2015 or 2016 from my aunt's phone when she treated us to Savory.
A farm business
I once said that I want to have a farm full of plants and animals. I may have wanted to live in the city for business and lifestyle purposes, but I really wanna wake up in the morning hearing animals' sounds while the sunshine kisses my skin. I have this picture of myself dressed in farmer clothes, full of dirt and mud, but with healthy glowing eyes.
Assisting a group of freelancers
I have this belief that freelancing can be sustainable like corporate jobs. I honestly want to help one of my friends that is currently struggling financially. I wanna buy her a laptop and she can use our internet connection for her to find a job online. Then, she can pay for the laptop any time she wants.
However, I do not have any budget right now. But soon, surely! Who knows, right? An agency full of freelancers is another dream come true! 😍
Businesses & Expenses for myself
I've mentioned my plans for the sake of my family's future. Now, have a voyage on the plan that I have for myself!
A part of the money will be spent for my Review for CPA Licensure Exams, and I'll be funding my law-school expenses. No excuses, I wanna be a CPA-lawyer! Hopefully, I'll have this amount in the succeeding years. I'm claiming this title!

I also want to buy my dream mythology book. Soonest!
Next, I've been an SNSD (Korean Group) fan since 2013 and I do not have any merchandise from them 😭 Honestly, I've been asking my mom if I can buy their 2022 Season's Greeting using my money. But, she made me realize that I should prioritize what I need first.
If I still want it after a month, I'll take it! (But the shipping fee is so high!) Should I buy it now? (since buying with other fans will make the shipping fee cheaper.) Not me convincing myself, haha.
I can't believe that if I ever have extra money, I'll prioritize their album before my dream mythology book, lol.

30% for sponsoring donation activities || Building shelters
Shelter for animals
My dream to have a shelter for animals started when I was a junior high school student. It started with an ambition to build one for dogs. But now, I wanna include many animals! Actually, a veterinary course is one of my options before college but the cost is too high :<
My TikTok feed is full of animals and such, haha. I wanna pet a tiger & lion so bad. T^T
For orphans & elders
I mentioned I want to have an organization including orphans and elders. Tho I do not have any plan on building a family of my own, I have a soft spot for them.
As of now, I do not want to have a child just because I do not want to. With all the uncertainties of the world: corruption, global warming, racism, poverty, and such, it seems like raising a child without any money to raise them 'til they can support their own is a sin.
I do not want my child to be my safety net, my investment.
I want to be the bridge for orphans and elders to believe in life again. That sometimes, hard times are just a pause not a period. I, along with other volunteers with the same vision as mine, want to build a secure world for them. Hopefully, I can do this and be able to fund them forever.
Donating activities
For the rest of donating activities I've mentioned, I started appreciating helping people when I was elected as a Corporate Secretary on our Supreme Student Government.
Most of my co-officers are politically and socially aware. Their economic knowledge is superb! Although I've been a campus journalist since elementary, my co-officers massively help me discover the sufferings of others. That the life I have now, tho not satisfying, is already a privilege. 10% for my siblings' educations
I'm a first-born child. Since I stepped foot in Senior High School, I was told that I'd be the one who'd send my siblings to college. My sister has been telling us she wants to be a doctor. But recently, she changed it into a course with little expenses. And I know the reason behind it. I want her to achieve what she wants.
As for my brother, he still has no vision of what he would like to become. But I know he has something in mind, and he wouldn't tell it because he's concerned for us, (me and my sister) coz we have the responsibility for his education.
I don't want them changing their dream just because we can't afford it.
I've already experienced the pain of not pursuing your dream college degree, and I don't want them to have that pain too. I may have the strength to accept and say, "It is what it is," but I don't know if they can cope as I did.
So, that's how I plan to spend a million dollars. Is your plan the same as mine? Let me know!
I'm inviting to this challenge the ever-supportive women and strong leaders from our community ,
