The impacts of teachers are priceless. I am proud to be among them, my job as a teacher as exposed me to the role of a mother even as a single lady, a mentor, a counselor, a leader, a guardian, an instructor, a builder, a supporter, a midwife and a role model. Though teachers are looked down upon in my country, their welfare are less catered for which has made the profession unattractive to young minds this cannot still make teaching job less important. It is the mother of all professions and I will forever be grateful to my teachers. Today's post is to celebrate some of my teachers that their memories cannot be erased.
Firstly, Mrs Akanni my primary six class teacher. She was mother, I could remember the way she corrects my grammatical errors because English wasn't my friend then I had always loved calculations. She corrects with love and do give me food. Even when I don't want to be serious her rod of correction put me in order. One thing about her is the fact that she will try to make you understand why she is disciplining you.
To my secondary school, Mr Oshin, the great mathematician. He made mathematics so simple for me. He explains using life experiences. He advices alot and also sacrificed his time more for the students. He is approachable and can go extra miles to make sure you understand what he is teaching. He is always the first to be in school and the last to leave. I can't forget his words of encouragement and his simplicity.

Forward to university days, my best friend is Mr Taiwo, a very humble lecturer. He saw fear in me as a student and took it upon himself to help me overcome it. I remembered when I was sick and fainted, this man rushed to carry me from third floor of our department building to the clinic. This act make me respect him the more. A person like him is Dr Aworinde, my HOD and my Econometrics lecturer. This man drilled me, he gave me tough time while I was doing my project but that was what brought out the best in me. He supported me financially and emotionally. I am forever grateful to him. He is my role model.
Also, the lecturer that supported me during my masters are Mrs Balogun who was once my lecturer as an undergraduate. She opened the door of her house to me to teach my how to use STATA for my analysis. Till date she never stops to check on me, advice and encourage me. The last person Is my wonderful supervisor Dr Noah Olasehinde. I can't just described him with words, he drilled me too but he is a good listener, a father and a good mentor.
I celebrate others I couldn't mention their names, I am grateful I pass through good teachers. I am where I am today because of their wonderful impacts. Happy teachers day to all teachers out there and to myself. You're are the best. Thanks for the impacts you are making.
Join me to celebrate our teachers. Thanks for reading my post.
