Who sat and watched my infant head when sleeping on my cradle bed and tears of sweet affection shed. My mother!
When pain and sickness make cry
Who gazed upon my heavy eyes
I wept for fear that I should die ? My mother! Poem by Ann Taylor
We sang this poem then in nursery School without the understanding of the wordings. Not until years later I cherish the poem so much.
I am grateful to God for one of the greatest gift he has given me which is my mother. Thank God for the life she has led so far as she clocks 60years tomorrow. She has led an exemplary life for me and my siblings which has built us into great personalities we are today. Her sacrifice, discipline full of love, care and support has brought me this far. What would I have become if she hasn't stood by me for these past years. God I am grateful for giving a shoulder to cry on when I am in pains, a pillar to support me when I almost crumbled, a prayer warrior that is never tired of interceding for me. I cherish this wonderful gift that can't be bought with all the money in the world.
my mother of inestimable value.
