Come with me as I go through one of the Kona coffee farms in Hawaii: Greenwell Farms.
Greenwell Farm is the largest Kona coffee grower, but it feels and acts like a tiny farm. It's located in the mauka (mountains) outside of Kona.
I joined the tour where they showcased coffee growing, processing, and the various stages of harvesting, drying, and roasting of coffee.
This farm has been producing coffee since 1850! The coffee farm is run by a fourth generation Greenwell today.
He is passionate about coffee and growing other foods as well.
At the end of your tour you can sample all their coffees, that is, if you can handle all that caffeine!
