Surprise Bridal Shower
Bridal showers are an official way to celebrate a bride in anticipation of her upcoming wedding, and we want it to be memorable. Because Jessa is getting married next week, we decided to surprise her with a Bridal Shower with my coworkers. We immediately began brainstorming and planning after she informed us that they would be getting married with her partner. Our initial plan was for the weekend, but some changes were required to adjust. We tried to find KTVs here in Cebu to make it more memorable, and luckily after a lot of inquiries, we found the What'z UP Family KTV located in Mango Avenue, which is just walking distance from our workplace. We already got the deluxe room for $300 per hour, which can accommodate 10 people. We were allowed to bring Jollibee Chicken Joy and Spaghetti, but with a corkage fee of 100 pesos per dish. We simply ordered drinks, rice, and sisig there.
Jessa doesn't need to know why we're going to KTV because it's a surprise bridal shower. To entice her to attend the gathering, we devised a clever plan: Jaya will treat us for her birthday, so we will go to KTV, and voilà, Jessa agreed. So far, our plan is going very well, at least until we need to budget our money for food, which, as you know, is already rising in price. Also, we only planned to spend 2-3 hours in KTV but ended up staying for 4 hours because we had so much fun, especially singing.
We ordered the cake online, and since it's a bridal shower, it should be naughty hahaha. We also ordered the balloon online because we didn't have time to go to the mall. Thank you to our coworker for editing the body of Gau, Jessa's partner, for our games. The sash and bride headband are both homemade. On the actual day, I, Jessa, Tere, Rich, and Cian arrived in the area to set up the decorations. We also made some acting segments that we will go out early in our work because we will be attending some matters to spice up the momentum and make Jessa sad for a little while, hahahaha. Jessa was taken aback when she entered the room. We know that our simple surprise to her made her happy, and it was also a way for us to bond. Ninz had prepared three games: first, a phrase or a word and Jessa will share her memories about it; second, sealed with a kiss where Jessa was blinded and will place the kiss to the printed body; and finally, she will read the messages and guess who wrote them.
We had already begun our singing session after the games. We simply enjoyed a night filled with laughter, happiness, and love. We might want to stay a little longer, but it's almost 10 p.m. and we still have work to do the next day. Congratulations in advance on your upcoming wedding, Jessa, and best wishes for a happy and fruitful marriage life with your partner, Gau. We will always be there for you.
