Many last times
Last times are happening more often lately, due to us moving back to Spain. Meanwhile, we should not forget all the other things that are happening in our lives as they represent important milestones. One of the most recent "first times" was the first baby tooth that decided to come out. At one point our daughter just mentioned that her tooth was loose and wobbly. I think it took at least 5 to 7 more days before it came out and she was actually very calm about it. One evening, we were having dinner and she mentioned to me that her tooth was moving all the way back, that was the moment I decided to interfere because I was afraid it would be swallowed otherwise, lol.
Let's do this!
I washed my hands and I felt how wobbly it was. It was instantly clear that this tooth had razor-sharp edges to it and I was glad I decided to help nature a bit here. I moved it carefully and slowly because she was a bit scared of it to hurt. But after a few tries, it came out. She was quite shocked because of all the blood when she was flushing her mouth, haha. I was surprised by the super-sharp edges this tooth had. Anyway, here's the lady smiling already:
The tooth fairy
As soon as the tooth came out, the tooth fairy came up haha. I think she must have been waiting for that moment since the tooth came loose. So we told her to leave the tooth on her table (she would have woken up if it was under her pillow!) and we left some money on the table for her to find the next morning. Honestly, the whole tooth fairy thing was new to me and I didn't even think about it until the tooth came out. What's your tooth fairy story? Or doesn't she exist in your household? Some other stories may be helpful for the next round lol, I may change the plan a bit the next time one comes out.
Not only her first time, for me it was a first time too
As I never got to experience my other two children's change of tooth, unfortunately. While most of the milestones were the second time for me at least as I got to take care of my oldest daughter until she was 5 (something), now that my youngest turned 6 recently, first-time milestones are waiting for the both of us. I have to admit, although it's cool to experience new things and new milestones with her, it's also a reminder every single time that I've been missing my other 2 children and all their milestones. As soon as my ex got sole custody he brought my oldest to swimming classes and didn't allow me to come and look, while I let him be part of every single thing happening in her life. Now that we move to Spain and gonna live on the coast, a new first time will be waiting for us both: swimming classes for the lady. It's both exciting and sad at the same time.
Let's focus on the positive though, as we are all super excited for our new adventure!
