Hi Everyone,
Muji is a very popular store in Japan selling simple minimalist design goods. We have Muji stores in Japan but the range is probably just 10% of what Japan has to offer. They have some of the best designs for homeware and their clothing lasts for a long time due to the simplicity of styles and good quality materials used. I am a huge fan of Muji as you can tell so when I saw the announcement that selected Muji goods will be in Family Marts (a famous convenience store in Japan), that was the first thing to check out when I arrived in Japan.
As expected, they sold basic goods including toothbrushes, socks, simple homeware, beauty items, a small range of snacks, and so on. These products are there to let you get by for an urgent situation and a Muji store is not around. I love the fact there is a large range of socks available in basic colours, very convenient for people who work around the area and need a replacement for whatever reason.
Simple hygiene items like toothbrushes, facewash, hair clips hair brushes etc are great for visitors like us who probably have forgotten to bring something from home and we could just pick it up at a Family Mart. The prices of the item I found are the same as buying it from the Muji store itself. I love the idea of having these major store products in Japan now available in convenience stores, making life even easier when you are in Japan.
