Thought I'd break up my usual routine of sharing my travel stuff today and share what kind of fan am I first. If you have been following my blog, I've been a fan girl for the longest time. Either Hong Kong, Taiwanese, Korean and now Thai stars, I've been pretty dedicated to the same idol/group for a very long time. Some of my fan friends I know have sent me a survey on what type of fan I am and I thought it was pretty accurate so thought I'd share it here. I would say everything is really me which is pretty surprising.
I have been following idols for so long, I know to balance it out with my real life and my real life is more focused of course with my family as my #1 priority. I don't hide the fact I love idols and answer any questions people may have about the idols I like, in particular now the idols I like are from BL (boy love) so many people would be curious/clueless about what that means. 3rd point is pretty interesting. Life is too short, many of us are too uptight or too serious to even enjoy life. Why not find something you like and enjoy it? For me, watching concerts, TV series that turn into follow idols is what I enjoy and keeps me sane so why not.
4th point is also very accurate. I don't care what happens between the fans. I follow idols to relax and enjoy the content, not to bring more worries into my life. In fact, over the years of idols, I have made so many friends around the world and what brought us together is we like the same idols and meet at concerts or events which is the extra added bonus.
5th point I find it too funny. Even my fan friends told me it's so me. I am the most level-headed person among many and would "bring them down back to earth" when something exciting happens to them. Either at fan meets, or concerts, I will be the most calm. No more delusional thoughts after the event (LOL). Lastly, I take time to warm up to new people I meet and so I guess that is why at first people are reluctant to approach me. However, in Bangkok, a girl I met was probably the one who was very friendly and came up to me while I was waiting for a friend to ask if I was at Phuwin's event which I did. We had a bit of a chat and exchanged contacts and are still in contact even though we both have gone back to our country.
It was a very interesting survey but I would say it's very accurate. To add the final note, there are only just over 3% of the fans who have taken the survey who fall under the same category as me.
