So be honest here , if you ask me whether I prefer working from home or going to the office, I will choose working from home any day, any time, and one major reason for that is the stress that comes with being on the road, Omo..... that one alone is enough to make anybody rethink their life choices, you just imagine waking up very early in the morning, sometimes when your body is still begging for sleep, you have to rush, get ready quickly, and start preparing to go out, no time to even relax or take things easy, before you know it, you are already outside trying to beat traffic, Ahn ahn, that traffic alone is another problem on its own.
You can spend hours on the road, sitting in one place, moving small small, sometimes you even leave your house early thinking you will beat traffic, only for you to still meet it halfway. It’s honestly frustrating, and then after going through all that stress in the morning, you still have to face the same thing again in the evening when you are coming back, and by that time, your body is already tired fromm the day’s work, but you still have to sit in traffic again before you finally get home, Omo, it is a lot.
Another thing is the cost of going out. Transport money is not even smiling these days, every day you’re spending money just to go to work and come back, when you calculate it at the end of the week or month, you will just be wondering where all your money went to, It is not even just transport, there is also the small small spending that comes with being outside, maybe buying food, snacks, or even things you did not plan for, all those things add up, but when you are working from home, things are a bit different.
First of all, you have control over your time, youu don not have to wake up too early just because you want to beat traffic, youu can wake up at a more comfortable time, prepare yourself calmly, and start your work without rushing, also, the stress is reduced. You’re not dealing with noise, crowd, or unnecessary movement up and down. You’re just in your own space, doing your thing at your own pace, Another thing I like about working from home is the comfort, omo, comfort is important you can dress how you like, arrange your space how you want, and just work in a way that suits you, you also save money , no transport, less unnecessary spending, and you can even eat your own food at home, that alone makes a big difference, Of course, I know working from home is not perfect for everybody, some people prefer the office environment because it helps them stay focused or interact with others, but for me, the peace of mind that comes with working from home is something I really value, at the end of the day, I just feel like working from home gives me more control, less stress, and a more comfortable way to do my work, and honestly, with the kind of stress that comes with being on the road, I will gladly choose comfort any day.
