I tell my girls, to always dream big! That they can achieve anything that they put their minds to. So what kind of person would I be, if I did not practice what I preach. What it really comes down to, in my opinion, is how much confidence we have in ourselves. How much trust we have in our ability to get things done and also how much trust we have in the universe. More times than not, it is our thoughts that hold us back, from achieving what we want in life.
I am pretty happy with where I am in my life, even though we have all been through some challenging times of late, I am confidant that I am where I need to be. That life has given me what I need, in order to get to where I am meant to be going. I really believe that when you work in harmony with the universe, then it also works in harmony with you.
So, where do I see myself in five years time? This is the latest question from the Ladies Of Hive community and as it was Imbolc just a few days ago, this makes it a wonderful time in which to set your intentions, to manifest the world in which you wish to live in.
Mushroom Farm
This has been my dream for quite some time now. Mushrooms have been a huge part of my healing journey and they play a huge part in healing the earth as well. I have always been fascinated by fungi and their amazing mycelium. Their intelligence is mind blowing and I can not wait to begin growing them, so that I can share the abundance, with my family, friends and the wider community. Nothing goes to waste, with the substrate providing such wonderful nutrients for the garden. Just the thought of having my own mushroom farm gets me super excited. In five years, I will be growing a wonderful selection of medicinal and culinary mushrooms.
Animal Sanctuary
One thing that I find difficult about living in Spain, is the lack of animal welfare. There are some laws in place to protect animals, but there is no one to enforce them. My dream has always been to have an animal rescue and I can not live here without being able to help some of the animals that are in need. Up until now, I have been living on other people's land, but now, so it has been impossible for me to open my doors up, to animals in need. In 5 years, I will be living on a piece of land with other animal lovers and we will be able to open an animal sanctuary.
A week or so ago, I wrote about a donkey that has come into my life. I see him everyday now and he is one of the most gentlest creatures I have ever met. He continues to rest his head against me as I rub his neck and hug him. Being in his companion, has really brought home to me, how important the fight for animal welfare is.
