Believe it or not, my ME time is actually pretty simple. Unlike girly girls who go to salons, spas and pamper themselves, mine is actually far from it. It's not that I don't like to be pampered, but it's a matter of what I like to do, and how I can afford it.
After a very long day at work and doing chores at home, I am usually stressed so I just want something that can take my stress right away.
My ME Time - 2 things I love the most. And you could probably guess what they are.
Ah yes, food and anime and I'm already sold! Two things that makes me happy π
I've been spending my ME Time almost everyday because my boyfriend works at night, so after my work, I am alone in the house and I can do whatever I want. It's nice to be on my own. My rules, my time. No one's there to disturb me, and no one's going to ask me to feed him or do stuff for him. π
They say a good food makes your tummy happy but mine's not really a good food. I spend my Me Time watching anime TV shows or movies while munching on my chips. It's cheaper than going to cinemas by myself, and I don't have to wash the dishes after. Just any chips will do.
I know it's bad for my health that's why I've recently started to think and look for healthy alternatives. Still, I look for chips every now and then. π
Welp, I want to get healthy but I can't stop munching my favorite chips. π

This kinda let me think a lot. It's not that I haven't been the best in anything, but in everything I do, I always give my best.
The first one is probably when I am traveling to an unknown place. Believe it or not, I'm the planner in our group - I make the itinerary, and I decide where to go and what to eat, of course I also take note of my friends' requests and recommendations. You could probably think I'm the leader of the group although I'm not. I just want things to be smooth when traveling. I don't easily get lost so I guide my friends whenever we're in a new place. I think I'm best when I lead my friends whenever we're traveling. π
Before the pandemic, sometimes I spend my weekends volunteering in an English Camp with kids. The kids are Japanese elementary students. We spend 2 days together, along with the other volunteers. The volunteers are mixed - Japanese and foreigners. Our job as a volunteer is not so hard but it will definitely take most of your energy so most of the time, on Mondays, I can still feel the exhaustion. π
These kids are so energetic, and they really want to run around and play with you so there's no reason to stay in one place - you also need to run around and play with them. I miss those times though.. During the pandemic, I haven't heard from the English camp except one time, they did it but with face masks. I also moved house so I haven't checked the camp schedule in this region. I hope to be back at volunteering soon! I love being surrounded by kids and this volunteering is really something I love. By now you probably know I love kids, and I love playing with them - even though there's a language barrier most of the time. π
This last one is probably something I want to hide but okay, let's just reveal it here. π
I believe I was at my best when I participated in a Japanese speech contest a decade ago. At that time, I just finished learning Japanese. I got help and advice from my sensei (teacher in English), and support from my officemates and friends. I was so nervous speaking to the crowd, all the more that it's a contest where I'd be judged. I gave my all, so I wouldn't have regrets. It's my first public contest after all.
And my efforts really paid off. I wasn't expecting to win but I got 3rd place. It's really a happy memory I couldn't forget. After the event, I got sick though. I guess I pushed myself too far. π And I didn't inform my parents I participated in the Japanese speech contest. π
Even though I listed 3 instances where I was at my best, I think we should still be at our best every single day. We never know what the future holds so let's make the best out of each day. And oh yeah, guys also deserve their me time. It's important to spend time on our own, just as we've been spending it with other people.
Thanks for reading!
See you around! γγγγγΎγγοΌ
