When I was young , I used to think, It's a very boring word "Productivity". It sounded so mundane and mechanical!!
But a few months ago, I made an effort to make it my new personal philosophy. My new identity!!
Yes , I wanted to be one of the most productive people in the world!!
So , I started studying different methods of productivity and tried to apply them in my daily life!!
I learned a lot during that time .It was a new field for me altogether. A whole new world!!
For the first time in my life, I got familiar with the terms " quick wins, " "eat the frog," and many more!!
I read about the agile method , sprinting, and most of all, the importance of taking breaks during my productivity hours!!
I applied a new method ( it was new for me), the pomodoro technique. I also tried time blocking.
I also learned about how to plan my day and how to prioritise my tasks!! That was an amazing discovery!!
I read about high impact tasks and routine tasks. I also learned about maintenance tasks.
Being productive gave me a higher life satisfaction and a greater sense of achievement.
I noticed that I had started taking better care of my elderly mom as I was more sensitive to her emotional and physical needs!!
Productivity gave me a sense of purpose and a new meaning in life. It made me more realistic and practical!!
I was able to maintain a better to do list.I became more focused on results, and my planning skills improved considerably.
Now I realise that productivity is not boring at all. Instead, it's a new way of exploiting your time and energy.!!
In fact , it helps you enforce different routines like morning and evening routines.
It teaches you the importance of warm-up time and the significance of power hour!!
In short , I would like to emphasise the fact that productivity is one of the secrets of success and a fundamental habit of effective leaders!!.
There is no doubt about it as i have experienced it in my personal and professional life !! and had cultivated a lot of benefits from it.
