Once again this week I decided to participate in the PoB contest: #PoBPhotocontest.
The topic is metal, that same material that defined an evolutionary age of human beings: the Iron Age.
Since about 900 B.C. man has evolved and with him iron mining techniques have been refined and steels, and cast irons, have been born.
Speaking of cast iron, today I propose a small table that I saw during the opening of a workshop located in the Bolognese hills.
It is a glass and metal coffee table.
The metal is the monoblock of an American engine (Small Block displacement up to 5,000cc) and the glass supports were made from the pistons complete with connecting rods.
The very nice aspect is that the piston seats, the cylinders, serve as bottle holders!
Here is the work of art for you!
