The world is a big place no doubt. It has many countries which make it a whole bigger world where celebrations are carried out. Everyone has a special way they celebrate their loved ones either for a wedding, birthday or some other occasion with sumptuous well-made dishes.
Today, I present to you ways I celebrate a friend, colleague, or loved one's day. It may be weird to understand that I don’t fancy birthday celebrations, but I love celebrating others so well. You’d see me go gaga for a friend's birthday. I don’t mind setting my alarm to wake me for some minutes before midnight to celebrate the special being. I feel overfilled and love doing this.
Having to plan for someone's birthday is something I love. You'd think I am planning a wedding especially when I have little funds to spare. After the singing and prayers, what comes next is to dance and be filled with happiness but… What is a birthday without food to go? Wooo. Hehe. Let’s see the sumptuous meal made to celebrate someone on their day.
To celebrate a friend's day, having a well garnished made food makes the day great and overall, interesting and worth celebrating every day. Yes, you heard it right. Everyday.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at the list of sumptuously made dishes for the day. Here we have:
- Rice can be in form of; (Jollof, - Fried, and Coconut)… Maybe all.
- Salad (Every kind known to you)
- Chicken
- Plantain
- Wine
- And many more!!!
Yeah!!! That’s how to plan for a day, but… Aren’t we forgetting the main dish for the day? Who just whispered?... Did you? Hehe. Very well, I confess I did. Now, let's get the birthday cake. Hurray!!!
Getting a birthday cake adds more vibe to the party…. Maybe to my soul because I love cakes. Haha. A birthday cake can be of any flavor. Name it and my stomach and tongue won’t shy away from it. Remember, cakes make birthdays real and I have millions of my friends who agree with me. It is beautiful because cake unites all and so do birthdays.
My friend's baby Sis celebrated her day and we did make the day joyful for her though I wasn't present, I still did my part by putting a call to her as her big Momma hehe and planning the day with my friend on phone.
Since they lost both parents, I have been very close to them, especially at times when any celebration comes in, and do my best with them. I do this because I know how painful it is to lose one's parent. The fact that they aren't both here anymore is heartbreaking and no matter how long it takes, they will always have a special place in their hearts... And mine too.
In order not to make them feel alone as Micheal Jackson said, "You are not alone". I decided to celebrate the day with them to make the day less gloomy and filled with fun as it should be. I don't know if you've heard the song " One Call Away", by Charlie Puth, but... That was how I felt on this day. I was one call away to make the day incredibly great.
The day started great as lots of joyful screaming were heard which must be from me, I suppose. After some hours of wishing her lots of good deeds, she decided to dress up to start her day.
Here is the picture she took on her special day which was sewn by my friend. Yeah!!! She's a Fashion Guru.
This shot was taken before they left home and when she sent it to me, I told her to take all the goodies at her back too. Haha.
The day was no doubt fun for her and I was happy it was as she deserves the best.
This is my response to the Ecency contest here posted by , you can also join in and have fun.
