I have been following up with the Hive Watchers list recently, and now I understand better how the Hive blockchain works. What I would say to newbies who don’t want to be blacklisted or downvoted by Hive Watchers and others is pretty simple: Hive doesn’t hate you — in fact, it supports you. It’s not against having hive accounts or posting content.
However, it is against: Spamming and generating AI Contents.
Here comes my story.
Spamming means posting low-quality content consistently. You should aim to be impactful to the community. I understand the urge to post frequently — especially when you need to make money. Many people feel Hive is just a way to make quick cash, but that’s not what it’s truly about. --- *Note: Don't post a content repeatedly.*
Here’s why: Hive is a community where you trade content for value. You exchange your creativity and originality for recognition and potential rewards. Different groups such as , Shadow Hunters,
, and many others want you to submit human-generated content — not AI-generated. If your post is flagged as AI-generated, it may be treated as spam. The Spaminator bot is very active and monitors such content across the platform. Actually kidding, it is actually activated by a human being... Probably 🧐 the hive watchers. They are the watchdogs!
How do people end up spamming or posting AI content? Simple — many unknowingly use AI paraphrasers, like QuillBot and similar tools. Most groups specifically tell you not to use AI paraphrasers or tools to rewrite your content. Hive Watchers, the "watchdog" of the blockchain (like the community police), may receive reports about you. If this happens, your account might get added to the Hive Watchers watchlist, and you could be interrogated or monitored. --
Another hidden trap: AI keyboard suggestions.
Yes, even tools that restructure your sentences using AI suggestions can be flagged. You may think it's your own writing, but the system recognizes it as AI-assisted. You may have great ideas, but the key is this: You don’t post to gain only — you post to impact. ---
Also important: your reputation is not permanent. Every comment, post, vote, and reaction is recorded forever on the blockchain. So always post quality content, not just anything.
Don't let curiosity to earn destroy your reputation. I didn’t fully understand this at first — not until much later. Once you get a low reputation, it affects your account. Even if you start trying your best, your old mistakes might still weigh you down. Many of your posts won’t be seen. People may begin to see you as unreliable.
Build real followers. My brother and I were recently discussing Hive, and he said: “Joe, it’s better not to post than to post low-quality content that doesn’t impact lives.” That struck me. I told myself: “From now on, I’ll only post when I have something tangible to offer.”
Hive is an avenue to build capacity. Your capacity is reflected in your Hive Power. Every vote you give counts. I understand how it feels to be downvoted. I understand how it feels to not know what to post. But you can join communities like Freewriters or Shadow Hunters. And please — don’t plagiarize academic work. It can be flagged as AI. I’ve seen it happen to a friend of mine.
🔺 Don’t sound robotic when you write. I know how it feels to get addicted to AI tone and patterns — but your genuine voice is what matters.
Stay safe
A word is enough for the wise.
I am open to all forms of corrections. Be safe, humans are complex but we trust hive watchers. It is not a bot and every thing it does is recorded. You can check it only review.
You see, it only a dead man or someone who has passed through death that can tell you what death feels like.
Also, many experienced users will tell you to deviate from anything AI. Hmm! Just avoid it okay! Be kind, be good ....
