Greetings folks!
Today I'm here; here again; here with something interesting that you may like. First of all I will definitely give an intro or idea to you folks; What's up with the title?
Yes, you are right. I took this title from literature and it’s been used so frequently that makes me amazed. It is simply considering something true but most of the time the discourse isn't actually true. But our subconscious mind makes us come up with this sort of paradigm.
As I've already mentioned, the phrase has everything to do with literature. And so it has the sole connection to creative work, readers, writers, audience and as a whole the producer and the target population of Creative Art simultaneously.
It defines the subtle psychological and mental condition that allows the participants to experience the perplexity of fiction(words on books, pieces of art, cinema or any other creative content) and reality.
S. T. Coleridge was one of the frontrunners of this literary device. He observes;
The willing suspension of disbelief for the moment constitutes the beauty of Poetic Truth!

Let's dive into deep and I think at this point I am successful making you curious about it. Ha ha. Anyway, I was talking about Coleridge; he suggested that this willing suspension of disbelief has something to do with the implausibility of the narrative or the art itself and the readers would suspend the judgement while they want to encounter them.
He used this device to create his fantastic world of imagination that is actually unreal. However, his poems like Rhyme Of The Ancient Mariner, Kubla Khan and many more are the perfect examples that might help you enjoy the things I'm talking about.
Imagine you are watching a Marvel movie where you find your favourite superhero gets some kind of amazing super powers accidentally or by some trivial incident. Did you question that discourse? No my friend, what we enjoy doing is simply forgetting the cause rather than watching our superhero doing super astonishing stuff with that power! I think you get my point and yes; you guessed it right.
Sometimes our little ignorance or lack of knowledge or indifference makes the smooth way for willing suspension of disbelief. In comics, fiction, action, comedy, horror, fantasy and what not; you name it; everywhere it has been used and still use it as an important applicable device to these forms of literary productions.
Moreover, the best thing it does is; helping us to evoke the genuine emotions that is what exactly matters. If someone likes any story that means he/she felt the subtle emotional attachment with the story that connects them to the tale. It is like feeling the emotions wholeheartedly.
Anyway, I need to stop here. My students are waiting for me. I'm afraid I have to conclude here. I will try to share the rest on; let's see. But if I made you a little bit curious about it; that is my bounty folks.
Thank you for reading my piece. Feel free to comment and interact. Bust wishes...
