Do you have a_y idea how frustrati_g it is to ot be able to use all your keys whe you're a writer? It's _OT the _icest thi_g!!! Let me tell you!

Ok, doN't worry! That is the last of that, because as you caN see!!! My N letter is lookiNg very Nice, right Now!!

I am the QUEEN of "I'll do it myself!"

Not because I'm so clever. But rather because I'm impatient and thrifty lol I cannot stand when something breaks and I can't figure out how to fix it. I tried all the normal things! I cleaned the keyboard. Blew out dust. Got a q-tip and some isopropyl alcohol. It would work temporarily - and then stop!

I even thought, let me JUST BUY a wireless keyboard at this rate. I don't want to drive 90 minutes to the nearest tech-help, and pay $75 in gas when I can just pay $20 to have a wireless shipped to me. But... gahhh - is that REALLY the last solution?

Thankfully. NO!! (Ahh, looks so nice to be able to type "no" again hehe)

I noticed that when I lifted the N cover off, and touched the little silicone button underneath - that it was registering the connection just fine. I started to think - is there something not allowing the cover to sit tightly enough over the sensor? It felt like the other keys! And it had been working fine since the start - AND nothing SEEMED to feel off with the height of the key?

But, I had an idea. 💡

I got a little strip of wax paper (I was going to use foil hahahaha but for obvious reasons I thought better of it!!!) I folded it several times into a little square that would fit under the cap to make a snug connection.

The first time I folded it - it was too big. The N cap wouldn't fit back on tightly enough - so - just ripped it in half, placed it back - and pushed the cap back on.

I'm not sure how long this will last! hahahaha But I have not been able to use my N key without PRESSING AND HOLDING WITH ALL MY MIGHT lol

I sure hope I didn't cause any more damage by doing this... lol but for now - it's a nice temporary? fix until something better comes along! In any case - the wireless keyboard is ready and waiting in my Amazon cart.. LOL

When I finished writing this, I thought... oh. Let me take a picture of the process before posting. When I pulled the key up again? I snapped the little clips in the back and could NOT get it to snap back in. (hence why you see pictures of the H key instead of the N above!! LOL) so.... I looked at my keyboard to determine which key I used the least.... and now?

THIS IS MY NEW N CAP.
