If you are a plant lover in Dubai, even the summer does not dampen your spirits. A short drive from the city, Warsan has numerous plant nurseries. You can feel the summer heat set in Dubai, but here by the nurseries, it definitely feels a degree cooler.
It was late in the evening, when we decided to go. The roads were empty and we were half expecting the nurseries to be closed for the day.
But as we make our round about and enter the mud (Kachha) roads, we were pleased to see the nurseries open. I must admit, this is the first time, that I have seen the nurseries in Warsan this busy.
It is a happy sight to see so many people here to get plants and trees.
There are plants for all sizes of gardens, and it does not matter if you don't have a green thumb. The staff at the nurseries are helpful, and they help you pick a plant that you will not regret. You can choose from a variety of flowers, vegetables, trees, basically anything that can grow in Dubai. If you have a small balcony garden or one that has a huge villa garden, you definitely will not leave empty handed.
Yes, it all grows here. The tomatoes, okra, mint, papaya, banana. There are some citrus fruit trees in the background.
I got what I visited Warsan for: bags of potting soil for repotting and made my way back to the city as a happy gardener.
