They become bitter and resentful when they perceive that others have abused them or mistreated them.
I totally understand that they may be right in feeling hurt, and it is justified that they feel bad about something wrong happened to them!!
But it doesn't mean they are becoming bitter and negative due to that. Here, the rule of letting go and moving forward applies.
The faster you let go from the unpleasant event or a cruel person , the better you would feel about yourself and others.!!
The healing process will only start once you let go of whatever happened to you, which was very traumatic for you.
Until then, yuu will keep playing the victim card and that's the recipe for disaster. It will only prolong your pain and suffering.!!
It's a pattern of life that it moves very fast, and we have to move on with it if we really want to keep up with the fast pace of life!!
The sooner we realise this fact , the better we would be able to keep up with the new demands of new times only by letting go of the old grudges and resentments !!
Life is too short to waste it in dwelling on old memories that are tragic and haunting!!
Here, I am not underestimating the power of giving yourself time to heal as we all go through different phases of the healing process.
But the people who recover faster and better from the emotional and mental traumas are the ones who bounce and adapt through letting go and moving forward !!
All it takes is a very agile approach towards processing your emotions, and the faster you let go, the better you will be to face new challenges. Forget and forgive is the game changer here.!!
