personally my day was going just off the hook till this evening I'm like wait a minute today is GOOD FRIDAY and all of a sudden it dawn on me what transpired today in history.
i feel "Good Friday" same as every other festive days is like a season were people just use to feel alive go out merry drink and eat and have fun, the main purpose of the day is not practice...
personally what christ did thousand of years ago still stances and this practice will go on till he returns, to me Good friday is a day to bring back to our memories what Christ did for us, if it was possible he would have turned back but he had to do it anyways, it wasn't an easy fit to pull and we have to respect that and honour this day and make it holy
what does this day mean to you?....
you might want to slid into the 
ofcourse it's just a day like every other day, but then this day is way more than that it holds history, significance of what transpired at that moment when the fate of humanity was decided, it's called Good friday for a reason, it was indeed Good.
just yesterday my pastor had taught us about The mercy of God at work in our lives and at some point even Jesus needed that mercy to fulfill his assignment of dieing on the cross, that's why he prayed if it was possible let this cross pass over, cause it was becoming too overwhelming for him.
this day reminds us of what true love really means, love that is unconditional, love without reason just pure and blameless and that got me thinking do we really still have such love today? the kind that christ showed us today in history, he never was suppose to die, we were all suppose to suffer for our wrongs but instead he opted to do it.
don't just celebrate and have fun but take a moments to reflects ponder on what a selfless, innocent Jesus did to initiate a long process of redemption to salvage humanity from the rubble and mess ...
life can throw some shades at you, that makes you feel like not good enough or not worth it but think about this, what christ did on this day meant alot because he really did think about you to take on these process if we weren't worth he wouldn't have done it.
