I have started learning Korean. I am gonna be honest, I am not a fan of the language and never thought of learning it, I am just taking the classes because it was EXTREMELY affordable and it fits my schedule, but the language is starting to grow on me!
I have been studying Chinese for 7 years, I really like that one language, but I am still not even at an intermediate level, which is partly my fault for being a bit lazy.
The classes are very cheap. It is less than $20 USD a month for 2h a week. That makes it less than 3 bucks an hour! Also it is on Saturdays morning and online, so very convenient. Other languages only had classes for weekdays, which would be difficult because I have to work and attend some other classes on weekdays.
Of course, it is not a native teacher and it is not 1-on-1, but still it is great and a very good deal for the price. The classes will go on for 1 year and I hope that I can, by then, get near my level of Chinese with my Korean.
Right now I still struggle to read and struggle even more to write, but progress is being made!
I am specifically having difficulties with 받침 (batchim), but after I understand that better I think I will be able to progress even faster!
