Good day all, good day hive zone, am here to give details on some Protective Sign boards i observed in the firm where i work, these sign post are guide for workers and visitors. They are usually mounted in every corner and essential areas, they help in knowing places one should go or not go, what to touch or not, where to enter or not, where to follow and where not to follow, signs are just simple illustration but it has a deeper meaning, some people ignore these signs seeing it as advertising while others sees it common, here are some photos of ones i captured, so i will also explain the photos for better understanding.
First one i saw says , if something is unsafe, one
Should report if it's something you can not remove or replace, you should also replace it, if it's something to be replaced, or remove it completely if its has to be removed, a very first safety measure.
I saw another one as i stepped
These are guides concerning confined areas or spaces, without any authorization and safety materials, one should avoid confined spaces or places do to they are very dangerous especially if the place contains hard materials for breathe too.
I saw another guide, this one is talking about one being careful when operating or going closer to the machines, to avoid cutting ones hand or fingers.
Another is a handrail signs which states one should observe the handrail when climbing up or down the stairs to avoid falling and other injuries.
The exit sign is another sign i saw which indicates where a visitor or a worker can follow when going down from the stairs or going out of the environment or some other places, exit signs can also be a measure to observe during fire outbreak or other hazardous experiences..
This is another sign i saw which indicates one should look up when climbing ladders and also use both hands to avoid falling, climbing gently is also included to avoid accidents, or falls.
These signs are great only if one adhere to them, most people see it as a common stuffs, just few observe it, most times i see some workers running up and down the stairs without handrails, i see some boys going into confined areas without a mask, belt or safety wears, until they safety manager deals with them , they will not observe the safety wears, i see others operating the running machines like is something to play with, but with these safety boards which looks common but comes with a deeper meaning, atleast saftey shouldn't be given a day off.
