Answer: A towel
Riddles. Riddles are puzzles in words. They could be in the form of a question, statement, or phrase. They have hidden meanings designed as puzzles to be solved. 'Brain exercises', I call them. They're surely powerful tools to stimulate ones imagination, enhance critical thinking, develop language and problem-solving skills.
I think they're entertaining, but I'd rather just be a spectator than the one racking my brain to give an answer. 😃
How about you? When one tells a riddle, are you willing to stop, take the challenge to think and solve the puzzle?
Really, I just love to watch. 😊
I am using the book, 'Oxford Reading Tree' to teach a student who wants to improve his English speaking. Level 7, Units 15 (part 1) and 16 (part 2) is a long story about an adventure to Riddle Mountain. It is packed with riddles for the characters to solve. I laughed to myself when Biff, (one of the main character) said to Hong (one of the main character) who had asked, "Did you want to be a Riddle Maker?" "No, and I never want to hear another riddle." Clearly, Biff has had enough of it. This adventure story inspired me to write this content.
