Heartiest greetings to everyone on the holy Eid-ul-Azha, Eid Mubarak.
I hope everyone in the Ecency community is doing very well with their families on this joyful day. Today, the festival of sacrifice, Eid-ul-Azha, was celebrated in our Bangladesh. I was so busy all day that I could not come to the blog on time despite my desire. So, although a little late, I am sharing some beautiful moments of today's busy day with you.
Eid preparations started as soon as I woke up in the morning. After taking a bath with my son, we got ready wearing new Punjabi. Then, we, father and son, went to the Eidgah field in our Purulia village. As you can see in the picture, hundreds of people from our area gathered under a huge colorful awning to offer Eid prayers. This atmosphere of everyone in the village sitting together, listening to the sermon and praying really gives a different kind of peace. Before the prayers started, I took a nice selfie with my son.
After the prayers, after exchanging hugs and greetings with everyone I knew, the main Eid ritual began - the sacrifice. This time, we sacrificed a cow. After slaughtering the sacrificial animal, the real hustle and bustle began. Cutting the meat, weighing it and dividing it, and distributing the meat among relatives, neighbors, and the poor and needy - all of this is a huge task. Everyone in the village has to do the work together, working hand in hand. The whole day has passed in cutting and preparing this meat. Although the work is quite tiring, the satisfaction of sharing the meat and joy with everyone makes you forget this fatigue in an instant.
After a hard day's work, when I got some time for myself at night, I thought of sharing the day with you.
How did you all spend your Eid? I hope everyone had a very beautiful and joyful day.
May everyone be well and healthy. Eid Mubarak to everyone again.
