Greetings Hivers!
We all have seen a story like this around us about a hardworking father who sacrifices everything just to educate his child (this might be one of us too). 'Ali' isn't just a fictional character, he represents a real boy we all have met at some point in our lives or maybe in ourselves.
This story is about Ali a young boy who was not born in a grand bungalow, but in a small middle-class home. His father was a daily-wage laborer whose sole purpose in life was to give his son a bright future which he didn't had himself. He would sweat in the burning sun all day long just so that Ali's school and college fees could be paid on time.
Silent Sacrifices Of Father
The greatest reflection of this sacrifice was always seen on Eids or any family events. The market would be bustling with activity and Ali's father would buy brand new clothes and shoes for the kids. But when it came to his own needs, he would just stand outside the shop and caught in a deep internal conflict.
His heart might says to him 'Should I also buy a new shirt or a pair of shoes? I've been wearing this same old one for three years now...'

But immediately his inner voice, actually the true voice of a father would call out to him 'No! If I buy it for myself, the children's joy will be compromised. My Eid / Event is in the children's smiles.' And he would smile gently, swallowing his own desires right there not easy for it is if your childrens are infront of you.
Ali had watched this silent sacrifice very closely throughout his childhood. That's why he worked tirelessly and completed his bachelor's degree with good grades. Ali and his family's eyes shone with a big hope that now he would get a decent job which would finally help them end the poverty they had been suffering from for too long. His father would finally get the peace of mind he deserved and his sacrifices would pay him.
But
But as soon as he held that degree in his hand Ali faced a bitter reality the same reality that many of us are still facing in our today's life. He would wake up early at every morning, put his CV in a file and go out looking for any kind of work to earn something. He would go wherever there was even a tiny chance of work even if the job wasn't according to his standard or qualifications just to get little experience or to earn small amounts to survive. Just by seeing his family's tired faces he was ready to do anything even if he gets security guard job. But every single place gave him the exact same answer
"Leave your CV here, we'll contact you." (Honestly, many interviewers do this polite drama instead of giving a direct rejection on your face, I don't know why they do that, Do You Know?).
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months but nobody contacted him. Nobody was willing to give him a job that fit his hard work or qualification. With the passage of time Ali started to feel that his years of study and hard work in which his father had invested his life's savings had become just a useless piece of paper. He thought that if this education had no practical use, then it was all just a total waste of time and money.

The heavy burden of his family's expectations, the silent taunts of society regarding his unemployment and this tight web of financial distress started suffocating Ali to the point where he couldn't even breathe, "Just Imagine yourself at the place of Ali can you breathe in this kind of surrounding?". He started to consider himself a complete failure as a son someone who couldn't give his elderly father the comfortable life he had promised or he deserves after giving all of his happiness to his family.
Darkest Night of Ali's Life
One night, when the whole family was asleep Ali sat completely alone in a dark closed room. Tears were streaming down his face and the weight of despair felt absolutely crushing. The negative thoughts started taking over his mind completely. He was feeling so broken and helpless that in that dark room a terrible thought crossed his mind, he started thinking about ending his own life. He thought about suicide, believing that maybe if he wasn't around anymore, his family's financial burden and struggles would ease up. He was right on the edge of giving up on everything.
A Bright Light Appears
But right at that exact moment, when the darkness was suffocating him and he was at his absolute lowest a beautiful verse from the Holy Quran flashed into his mind. It was like a sudden ray of light hitting his broken heart, reminding him of what Allah says:
"فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ۔ إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا"
"Verily, with every hardship, there is ease. Truly, with every hardship, there is ease."

Hearing these words echo in his mind made Ali shiver. The tears were still flowing but suddenly, the heavy darkness of despair felt a little lighter. A tiny spark of hope entered his heart. Was there really a bright morning waiting for him after this long painful days?
