Today I want to share a picture of beautiful
Sunflower. It is also known as common sunflower and mirasol. It belongs to kingdom plantae.
The flower's head's shape look like a sun So that's why it's name is sunflower.
Before blooming, sunflower plants tilt its face to the sun in order to gain more sunlight.These flowers originate in the America.
Sunflowers are usually tall that in some species can grow to a height of 300cm.
The leaves are often sticky. The lower leaves are opposite, or often heart-shaped.
National flower of Russia. It is a symbol of silent love and good fortune. It blooms in summer and autumn. The height of the plant is 1m to 3m. The color varies in different such as yellow orange red etc. It needs full sunlight. It mostly attractive to birds.
It belongs to family Asteraceae - Daisy, Compositae. Its botanical name is Helianthus annulus. The size of the flower is 10cm to 30cm. It can grow in all type of soil.
Planting time is spring and summer. It can fertilize once in a month during growing stage.
