Por primera vez el teatro quedó en silencio, nadie se movía, nadie hablaba, las luces se bajaron un poco y una luz blanca brillante iluminó el centro del escenario. Allí estaba el organizador y con una voz muy baja comentó —¡Empate! Banda 9 y Banda 17, donde ambas tenía una puntuación de 9.5 puntos. Algo jamás visto y ahora tendrán tres minutos para demostrar, de nuevo, quién merece avanzar a la final.

El público reaccionó con una mezcla de emoción, pero a la vez de miedo, ya que una Banda tenía que abandonar. Mientras que Dani no podía creerlo, Michelle cerró los ojos, respiró profundo, Lucas miró fijamente su tambor, mientras Stewie soltó una sonrisa confiada — Esta es nuestra oportunidad— tenemos que seguir unidos y dando lo mejoren en esos tres minutos.

For the first time, the theater fell silent; no one moved, no one spoke, the lights dimmed slightly, and a bright white light illuminated the center of the stage. There stood the organizer, who said in a very low voice, “It’s a tie! Band 9 and Band 17, both with a score of 9.5 points. This has never happened before, and now they’ll have three minutes to prove, once again, who deserves to advance to the finals.”

The audience reacted with a mix of excitement and fear, since one band had to be eliminated. While Dani couldn’t believe it, Michelle closed her eyes and took a deep breath; Lucas stared intently at his drum, while Stewie flashed a confident smile. “This is our chance,” he said. “We have to stay united and give it our all in those three minutes.”

El tiempo arrancó y por eso la Banda 9 subió primero, siempre con una gran aptitud, tomaron su puesto y comenzaron. Cada nota en la guitarra marcaba un ritmo perfecto, la batería golpeaba con fuerza y el público los seguía con aplausos, hasta que finalmente su turno terminó.

El tiempo se reinició y ahora le tocaba a la Banda 17. Dani respiró hondo, dejando tod a un lado, Michelle inició y golpeó con fuerza, mientras que Luca estaba asustado, pero despertó y tocó ese tambor con precisión y Stewie, con su sonrisa tocó cada cuerda de la guitarra con gran velocidad. La música explotó en el aire y tomaron todo el control de ese lugar.

Los tres minutos pasaron más rápido de lo que ellos pensaron y el público seguía apoyando. Además, la emoción era tan intensa que algunos sentían escalofríos recorriendo su espalda, hasta que llegó la última nota y allí el escenario aplaudió. Fueron minutos de emoción y el organizador subió al escenario nuevamente, con un sobre en la mano. Ambas bandas se quedaron viendo —¡Y la banda que avanza a la final es…! —hizo una pausa que duró un mundo entero. Allí todos se miraban con nervios y más nervios.

The clock started ticking, so Band 9 went on first. As always, they handled it with ease, took their places, and began. Every note on the guitar set a perfect rhythm, the drums pounded hard, and the audience cheered them on until their set finally ended.

Dani took a deep breath, putting everything aside; Michelle kicked things off and struck hard, while Luca was scared but snapped out of it and played that drum with precision, and Stewie, with his smile, strummed every string of the guitar at breakneck speed. The music exploded into the air, and they took complete control of the place.

The three minutes passed faster than they thought, and the audience kept cheering them on. Plus, the excitement was so intense that some felt chills running down their spines, until the last note hit and the whole stage erupted in applause. Those were minutes of pure excitement, and the organizer came back on stage, holding an envelope. Both bands stood there watching—“And the band advancing to the finals is…!”—he paused for what felt like an eternity. Everyone looked at each other, filled with nerves and more nerves.
