Every Bruce Lee movie, this country kid comes to town to find work with family. He promises his Uncle, his Mother or somebody that he’s not going to get into fights. According to Lee’s biography he was very much the type to get into fights. One man’s confidence is another man’s arrogance. Lee was said to be both. He could back it up.
Vladimir Putin is such an “archetype.” Reputed to be a badass. But also reputed to be a “killer” and “war criminal” – mostly by war criminals. But I have also heard that Vlad is very close to the Russian Christian Orthodox Church and that the restraint that he has been demonstrating over the past decade – really almost a dozen years – is largely due to that influence.
Of course we don’t “know.”
But just like village boy Bruce Lee, there are some bad hombres in town that want to leverage the small family owned restaurant out of its profits. They send their thugs in to shake down the owner. The staff is trained in martial arts, but the thugs are street fighters that use a combination of boxing, kicking and brute force to take down the staff.
The triad – Starmer, Macron & Merz – want that Russian oil. So they send in their not-too-savvy but uber-rugged Ukrainian forces in to do some damage. Bruce smotes them easily and methodically. But then the FUGs (France UK Germany) call for back up ... that means weapons. It’s not hand to hand combat anymore. Not just sticks staffs and nun-chucks. The FUGs are calling for some devastating back up.
The restaurant staff (Russian officials) know that Vlad has some tricks and tactics up the sleeve of his kimono and they are getting anxious to the point of demanding that he use them.
But Vlad has a plan.
How do you know?
Because Vlad always has a plan. In addition to being a judo aficionado we also hear that he’s a pretty good chess player. (Maybe that’s just a Russian thing.)
We are switching movies now to “The Thirteenth Warrior” starring Antonio Banderas. Banderas is an Arab that goes on an adventure with twelve Vikings. There’s a scene – one of my favorites – where the spoilt brat prince needs a demonstration of just how badass this band of thirteen are. The demo was jaw-dropping and costly.
Personally I do not think DJT is as dumb or naive on the international stage as he appears to be. Let’s take a look at “The Score” with Edward Norton & Robert DiNero. [No spoilers.] No one knows what was said during that car ride in Anchorage. And we also know that Trump talks a lot of shit. There are some standout scenes from the last decade that give the savvy viewer hints of how he roles [get it?].
Those that say don’t know. Those that know don’t say.
This is how international diplomacy is supposed to work. You are NOT supposed to announce in press conferences that you are going to send missiles to a belligerent power, ostensibly an ally in a battle with another power that can maybe kick your ass, to bomb that ass-kicking power. It’s like saying “I’m going to give my man here something to strike you in the face with.”
Who do you think you are, Billy Jack?
Just the other day Foreign Minister Lavrov was confirming that Russian missiles struck a weapons factory in Ukraine. There are other such factories across western and eastern Europe and Russia knows where they are. Maybe there needs to be a demonstration in Germany? Yaa?
Maybe not. The fight is not in Germany. However, I have heard … that Russia might just end it. Like the Viking did in the movie.
Wanna demonstration? Watch the flick.
Meanwhile in Venezuela
The mask is off of Maria Corina Machado – the current version of Juan Guaido, the Venezuelan politician who led the opposition and declared himself President of that country sometime in 2019. I envision a “fool me twice” moment coming.
Bizarro Dream 101625
We had a lot of images last night. We remembered some stuff upon waking, but now – 9 hours later, they have faded. I cannot even remember the word I brought back. We are not supposed to be sharing these images anyway. Not even behind a paywall.
The Night of … 23606
Today we were once again grateful for fortune. The flow. The groove. And alignment. I will share the story in the show. We did a quick research for the word … here’s what came up. (We didn’t use AI for this – but there’s not much difference.) Fortune … “chance, luck as a force in human affairs.” There’s more to this which goes back to carrying … as in carrying a baby … which suggests that fortune was originally something associated with reproduction. As the “family” was a matter of ownership and economics back in the day; we can easily make the jump from “fortune” extending from a force to physical wealth.
We wanted to acknowledge this. There will be segments coming up in the episodes.
We spent an unusual amount of time on Substack today perusing these frauds. Kind of harsh. But maybe in a society like ours where everyone’s art and or quasi-original ideas are up for grabs we shouldn’t be surprised that young’in’s would drop cutie and attractive quotes without attribution. We are guilty as well – sorry to say – of dropping lines from 1970s songs that we think everyone will know. Maybe I should correct that. Just so they know it’s not me. I have plenty of words and plenty of combinations yet to wield.
There were so many today that I grabbed a few for behind the paywall. Still not calling anyone out. Let them play their “reindeer games” – Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. (LOL.) This stuff does give me an idea of who is out there and what they are doing … craving … healing from … and so on. It’s not a source of entertainment. But maybe it is. If I want to roll my eyes and grind my teeth.
A few examples.
Substack Post: Jacked quote … “Everyone’s screaming for connection, but whispering through locked doors.”
Where it came from – [AI search] The quote is from "Love & Misadventure" (2013), a bestselling collection of poetry and prose by the contemporary Singaporean poet Lang Leav.
Lang Leav's work often explores themes of love, loss, and longing, and this quote has become one of her most famous and widely shared lines, perfectly capturing the central tension in much of her writing.
Head Case - (responds) Most. Not all. But many of the ones who do want to connect are now scared because of the times they’ve been hurt and betrayed.
That’s why I am on a mission to educate people — to share my life lessons and everything they led me to learn. I want people to trust themselves again, to know the difference between a manipulative person who is love-bombing them and one who is truly genuine.
Our world needs empaths to unlock doors — but from an empowered place. And it needs the people who have learned to be selfish, to understand how their behavior could never lead to true happiness.
Different post. We shall see how accurate this is. Or becomes.
Prophesy? - The most expensive mistake of 2025-2026:
Thinking AI is “just a phase” like crypto or NFTs.
AI isn’t a trend. It’s infrastructure. Its opportunity. It’s electricity. It’s the internet.
The people treating it like a fad will wake up in a world they no longer understand.
This isn’t optional anymore.
We posted the following based on who is criticizing whom.
“The wealthy like to fashion the “ultra wealthy” as the bad guys because the “wealthy” are playing the same game – on … guess who.”
We generally don’t get many responses, I suspect because – it’s too deep. It doesn’t get seen. No one cares. All of the above.
Back to the safety of our simulation. We lock the door behind us.
Uni Shows Shadows of the Future
This idea might have to wait as we got sidetracked by many distractions, including Substack surfing. But briefly. Uni shows Mind some options of days of future possibilities – nothing tragic. Not yet anyway. More like options. Maybe – this is the one that came to Mind … Maybe we begin to settle on walking 4-5 miles instead of 6-7 and we give ourselves excuses. Like we have been doing. “There’s nothing new to see. I like this apartment enough to stay in more days.” And like that. We haven’t made the trip to the Monkey Bars in maybe a couple of weeks. Why? Don’t know. We still walk to Aldi and back, which is further than the playground park where the bars are. But it’s something to look out for. For example we may “find” something closer … for food or something … and our walks begin to be 3-4 miles. And we make an excuse. In five years we may be back to struggling with a 4 mile round trip.
We did a five miler not very long ago. In the relative heat of October.
Anyway, there’s one more thing. Why am I even posting these? Certainly not for posterity. I can save them right on this comp.
So back to Uni … these are the clues. The maybes. Then we come up with the options. Right now – as of the last ten days – five miles is doable. It’s a challenge. Cooler weather is coming. Maybe we will do some treks beyond the 5. Maybe we will combine bus and trolley rides with the walking & shopping.
See. That’s why we write.
If we can figure out why we post we will be in business.
To close. I don’t really want to be a “part of” any Substack “community.” It will be like going to work. Show up. Do my job. The job I chose. Then call it a day. Until the next time.
