The beauty of this tree from where I stood captured my attention and I decided to say something about it.
This tree is planted using just a nut that germinates to a tree which also bears other nuts.
Many people have unique likeness for the nut but for me, what comes to my mind each time I see it is, Coconut rice!!! 😋 A special Nigerian delicacy. Some use it to eat Bread, corn, Tapioca while some people use it to drink Garri. It can also be eaten just like that depending on how one wants it.
Due to it's health benefits, Herbal medicine producers burn the shell with other herbs to produce a powerful health remedies. Those that deals on skincare products also extract the oil for body cream. In my village, it can also be given to a nursing mother for lactation.
There was a day I came across a video on the Internet where some people from a particular country were using the cover of the shell to make strong ropes with the help of industrial machines. Honestly, I was wowed!!! Because, this is something we use as firewood or even dispose it. So seeing that it can also be useful in that manner is truly a big thanks to technology and the inventors.
